How to Connect with WiFi

Download the App
The LAMONKE dual dash cam supports the Roadcam APP control to manage the camera settings on your phone. It is a free app available on both App Store and Google Play.

Allow App Permissions on Your Phone
Make sure to allow necessary permissions for the Roadcam app on your phone to ensure proper functionality.

Turn on the Dash Cam WiFi

1. Turn on the dash cam by pressing the M button.
2. In the system setting page, choose the right setting page.
3. Find the WiFi setting and turn it ON. Click the OK button to confirm.
4. The dash cam will display WiFi information, including the WiFi Name (SSID) and WiFi Password (PWD). The WiFi icon will turn blue when it returns to the recording page.

Connect Dash Cam WiFi on Your Phone

1. Navigate to your smartphone’s WiFi settings and search for the SSID Dashcam4K_M600b network.
2. Enter the password 12345678 to connect to the dash cam WiFi.
3. Open the Roadcam app and click the Camera icon to connect the dash camera to the app. When you see your camera’s SSID Recorder connected, it means you have successfully connected to the dash cam’s WiFi.

DOWNLOAD THE APP
The LAMONKE dual dash cam supports the “Roadcam” APP control to manage the camera settings on your phone. It is a Free app, which will not cost your extra money during use.

Two ways to download this app.

2. If you cannot find this app in your app store, you can Scan this QR code below to download the “Roadcam” app.

Allow APP PERMISSIONS ON YOUR PHONE

TURN ON THE DASH CAM WIFI

1. Turn on the dash cam, short press the “M” button to enter into the page of the system setting. Choose the right setting page.
2. Find the setting of WiFi, Choose the option of ON, Click OK button to confirm.
3. Then the dash cam will appear the WiFi information.
   • WiFi Name( SSID) is Dashcam4K_M600b (WiFi Name will be different) WiFi Password (PWD) is 12345678
   • The icon of the WiFi turns blue when it back to recording page.

CONNECT DASH CAM WIFI ON YOUR PHONE

1. Navigate to your smartphones WiFi settings and look for SSID Dashcam4K_M600b network and enter the password 12345678 to connect.
   The WiFi setting page will be different from different smartphone brands. And dash cam WiFi can not use the network but connect with app only.

2. Open the Roadcam app, Click the “Camera” icon to connect the dash camera to the App. When you see your cameras SSID Recorder connected it means you have connected WiFi of the dash cam.

NOTE:
If the icon shows “Dashcam4K_M600b Recorder offline”, the dash cam is not connected with your phone indeed, you need wait for some time to connect the dash cam successfully.

MANAGE DASH CAM SETTING ON APP

In the App Preview page, stop the recording first. Then press the setting icon (on the top right corner) to enter the setting page if you want to make any changes with the camera setup.

NOTE:
You need stop recording before entering into the setting page, and file folders (video/ photo), And the dash cam will automatically start recording when you back to the app preview page.

Then you can manage some basic dash cam setting on this Roadcam App. It will response on dash cam synchronously.

Cyclic recording time: Loop recording
Automatically overwrite the earliest recording files when the micro sd card is full.

Auto power off: Screen saver
Turn off the screen of the dash cam, but still keep recording, which usually combines with the time clock to show time, not a black screen.

PLAYBACK FILES ON APP

In the App Preview page, stop the recording first. Tap on Video (Photo) icon from the app home screen to access all recorded videos (Photos) saved in the microSD card. You can download, delete or even play videos from the app.

SHARE THE RECORDED FILES

1. Download the video on Road Cam app,
2. Disconnect the dash cam WiFi, reconnect another WiFi (can use the network)
3. Turn on the Road Cam app, Tap the icon of album, then you can see you all recorded files that recorded by this dash cam.
4. Click the recorded video, it will play the video, and click the icon of share, then you can share your videos on your social medias.

NOTE:

• You can tap the icon of clip to edit your videos before you share to your social medias
• If the dash cam has connected the GPS when recording, the recording files will also show the Google map. Real-time, real-location and the speed on your app.

FAQ OF THE WIFI CONNECTION

1. Why I can not connect the dash cam WiFi with my phone?
   The available distance of the WiFi connection is 9-15ft, and it will be automatically disconnected if out of the range. And the WiFi connection status will also be influenced by the WiFi signal condition, sometimes the WiFi has a weak signal, so the dash cam will not be connected successfully. In that case, please wait for some time, or reconnect the dash cam.

2. Why does my dash cam gets stuck after connecting with the app？
   Once connected with the app, you can manage the dash cam on the app directly, and you can only start or stop the recording on the dash cam or turn off the dash cam. If you need to manage the setting on the dash cam, you need to disconnect the WiFi first. In that case, you should long press the M button, then WiFi will be disconnected, you can set up the dash cam now.

3. Why I can not see the speed, location, or GPS map on the app?
   Please check if you have connected the GPS. The icon of the GPS is a Green cross that nears the icon of the WiFi, if the GPS icon is red, it means the GPS is off, and the recorded video has no GPS information.

With this GXplayer you can play your videos on your computer screen with GPS information, driving route, vehicle’s speed, position, data displays, and maps. Two ways to download this GXplayer.

2. Find the GxPlayer in your microSD card
   Since the car charger includes the GPS module, if you power the dash cam with the car charger, then record the footage. The dash cam will automatically download the GxPlayer in your microSD card to help you find this GXPlayer even if you have formatted the microSD card. This player is only 14K, which will not occupy much capacity in your sd card.

   • Take out the microSD card from your dash cam
   • Insert the microSD card to your card reader
   • Insert the microSD card reader into your computer
   • Turn on the file folders, find the GXplayer, Download this player on your computer.

This player only available in the computer, so you need use the sd card reader to download the recorded files.

FAQ OF THE GPS

1. Why my dash cam can not have the GPS function when I use another car charger or the hard wire kit?
   Since the GPS module is installed on the car charger cable, if you do not use this equipped car charger cable, the dash cam has no GPS function.

2. Can I use the app to view the GPS information?
   First, make sure the video is recorded when the GPS is enabled. Then you can download the video on the app, switch the dash cam WiFi to normal WiFi (can use the network), and find the downloaded video, it will display the GPS information when you play this video.

3. How to know if the GPS is enabled?
   Once you power the dash cam with the equipped car charger, the GPS will be enabled soon, and the icon of the GPS will turn Green. If you are located in a crowded building, the GPS signal will be weak, then the icon of the GPS will be red and flash to search for the satellites. The GPS is not enabled now.

4. Can I see the GPS information on my dash cam?
   First, make sure the GPS is enabled, then press the M button once, choose the right setting page, find the option of WiFi Information, and press the OK button to confirm, then you will see the GPS information displayed on the screen.
