Dash Camera Recorder Function Guide

Precautions for Use

  • Do not operate the unit while driving in accordance with local laws and vehicle safety considerations.
  •  Before use, please set the time and date correctly.
  • The safe driving function is used for reference. Follow the actual road conditions.
  • The unit is for in-vehicle use only. We are not responsible for any data loss that occurs while using this unit and the attached software.
  • During use, it is normal when the unit gets hot.
  • Improper use or operation of this unit may cause damage to this unit or its accessories which is not covered by the warranty.
  •  Never disassemble by the user.
  • Do not apply strong force or impact to the unit.
  • Do not block the ventilation holes of this unit or put anything in it.
  • To extend the service life, do not leave the unit in a high-temperature environment.
  •  This unit does not guarantee video recording in all situations.
  • The shooting range is limited. Please confirm the recorded images before using this unit.
  • The main body is equipped with a small capacity battery(the battery lasts about a few minutes), it basically needs a power supply environment. The power may turn off immediately after unplugging the cable, but this is not a product malfunction.
  • Batteries are not installed in the rear view camera and rear cable. Power is supplied via the front camera.

Precautions for Installation

  • Install this unit near the rear-view mirror so that you can maximum record the wide-angle landscape.
  • Do not block the driver’s sight when installing the drive recorder.
  • Do not touch the lens with your fingers. The oil on your fingers will remain on the lens and cause unclear video/still images. Clean the lens regularly.
  • Do not install this unit on glass with color film. The color film may be damaged.
  • This unit is suitable for bright windshields or light-colored heat-resistant film glass. The video image quality will deteriorate if you installed the unit on dark glass or dark heat-resistant film glass.
  • Use the supplied power supply only. Other brands of power supply use may cause the unit to burn or the battery to explode.
  • Do not pull strongly on the unit and cord when cleaning the front window glass.
  • The unit is powered by the cigar socket when in the car. When viewing or setting video outside the car, please power it by using the included USB cable and a USB-AC adapter with a maximum output of 5V/2A all the time. When the unit is powered by the personal computer, the data display will be recognized and you will not be able to perform operations such as data playback and settings on the main unit.
  • If you use the USB port installed on some car models, you may not be able to record because it will be recognized as a PC connection even if the car is powered.

Precautions for micro SD Card Use

  • This unit records images in front of or behind the vehicle and saves them on the U3 (micro SD) card of this unit.

  • When first use the drive recorder, be sure to insert the U3 (micro SD) card.

  • Use a U3 (micro SD) card with a high mass of 10-Class or higher to save high-quality recordings.

    • The micro SD card cannot be used because it is not recognized unless it is class 10 or higher.
    • Class 4 is not recognized, so please check.
  •  Please turn off the power before inserting or removing the U3 (micro SD) card. If insert or remove the card when the power is on, the micro SD card and data may be damaged.

  • Format the micro SD card when first use.

  •  Format the U3 (micro SD) card regularly.

  •  If the screen does not appear, there may be a sandstorm, no power, or screen freezes, please remove the card to check. If there is a problem on the card side, it may affect the camera LCD screen. Please try with another card. Also, please try using the included car charger. Other companies’ products cannot be used.

  •  If you find that the dash cam freezes during use, please turn off it, then replace a new U3 micro SD card and press the reset button. The dash cam has 3 cameras to record and store data into the SD card simultaneously. So a card that does not meet the specifications(U3, 32-128GB) will cause the dash cam to crash.

  •  Since every U3 micro SD card has a limited service life, the dash cam may be crashed when using one U3 micro SD card for long time. Please replace a new U3 micro SD card once the dash cam freezes.

  • When shooting the LED signal, the signal may flicker. This is due to the number of saved frames, not a problem with the product.
It can be improved by changing the power band. Depending on the model of the device, radio wave interference may occur, but this is not a malfunction of the product.

  • It may be improved by changing the position of the camera or slightly rotating the cigar socket. Also, please note that the front and back of the file may be slightly cut off by splitting the file.

    •  File data taken with this product can be used as reference material in the event of an accident. We do not guarantee the effectiveness as evidence of an accident.
    •  If “Format card” is displayed during the first use or during use, format the micro SD card when not recording.
    •  We recommend you use a new U3 micro SD card or format it on PC first before inserting it into the dashcam. If the SD card has saved the software files, it may damage the dashcam and can not turn on the dashcam.

Follow the steps below to format the card.

  1. Short-press M button to enter the main setting menu.
  2. Short-press the M button again to enter the function setting screen.
  3. Press the ▼button to select [Format],choose [Confirm] and press the OK button.
  4. Press the “M” button to exit the menu.

If [Please Format] is always displayed, there may be two reasons:
The first reason is the Motion Detection and Gravity Sensor settings. The files that recorded by the motion detection function and the gravity sensor function are protected files and will not be deleted by the automatic overwrite function. Therefore, when this function is turned on, the files recorded there will occupy the remaining capacity in the U3 (micro SD) card. If the data fills up the U3 (micro SD) card, it will not be able to record normally. By formatting the U3 (micro SD) card, you will be able to record again. To avoid the above situation, we do not recommend that you use motion detection and gravity sensing.Or set it to “Medium” or “Low” instead of “High”.

The second reason is the Loop Recording setting.
The loop recording is set to OFF / 1 minute / 3 minutes / 5 minutes, but if it is set to OFF, the auto overwrite function will not work. Therefore, if the U3 (micro SD) card is full, [Format] Please will be displayed. ). Also, if the device cannot be formatted, it must be reset on the computer.

Insert a micro SD card
Insert the micro SD card with the gold terminal facing the display side of the unit, and then press the micro SD card until it clicks into the designated position.

Remove a micro SD card

When you push in the micro SD card, the card will come out of the slot.
