Product Usage Instructions

Moving the Heater

  • Always use the handles provided when moving the heater to avoid any accidents or injuries.

Clearance and Placement

  • Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) away from the front, sides, and rear of the heater to prevent fire hazards. Extreme caution is necessary when using the heater near children or individuals with limited mobility. Never leave the heater operating unattended.

Power and Cord Safety

  • Always unplug the heater when not in use. Do not operate the heater if the cord or plug is damaged. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. The heater should not be used outdoors.
  • It is normal for the plug to feel warm to the touch, but if there is a loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and plug, it may cause overheating and distortion of the plug. OPERATIONS

  1. Read the user manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
  2. Place the heater on a firm, level, open surface free from obstructions and at least 3 feet (0.9m) away from any wall or any combustible material.
  3. Make sure the Power/Mode Setting Knob pointing to the “OFF” position before plugging the heater into the outlet.
  4. Plug into a polarized AC 120V~ outlet.
    • BE SURE THAT THE PLUG FITS TIGHTLY INTO OUTLET.
    • When the plug fits loosely into receptacles, it may slip partially or completely out of the receptacle with only the slight movement of the attached cord. Receptacles in this condition may overheat and pose a serious fire hazard; if covered by a curtain or drape, the fire hazard is even greater.
  5. Turn the Manual Temperature Control Knob fully clockwise to the “+” position(highest setting) for assuring the three modes settings are activated.
    • NOTES:
    • When reaching a certain comfortable temperature, slowly turn the Manual Temperature Control Knob counter-clockwise until a “click” sound is heard(about half-round of the knob circle), at this time the unit will not be cut off when meeting overheat, and the unit will not be turned on automatically after cooling down. So keep the knob on the position of the latter half-round of the knob circle, if set it to the front half-round knob circle, the modes setting also can not be used. If set to the “-” position, the unit will be turned off.
  6. Select the proper setting to accommodate your comfort level with the Power Knob. The Power/Mode Setting Knob is equipped with three(3) mode settings, “I” (750W), “II” (1500W) and FAN( Natural Wind) . You can select the proper setting to accommodate your comfort level with this Knob.
  7. After heating, turn the Power/Mode Setting Knob to the “FAN” position to cool down the heater, then turn to the “OFF” position and unplug the heater.

OVERHEAT PROTECTION

  1. A thermal overload protector is built in at the top of the heating panel, if the heater is obstructed or blocked at the front panel and rear ventilation panel by the curtain, drape cotton sheet, etc., the thermal overload protector activates to prevent overheat.
  2. When the internal temperature of the heater reaches up to 70 Celsius which may cause a fire hazard, the heater will be shut off automatically. It can ONLY resume operation when the user resets the unit.

To Reset Heater:

  1. Unplug the heater and wait about 15 minutes until the heater cools down.
  2. After the heater has cooled down, plug the unit into a 110-120V electrical outlet again and follow the operation instructions described in this manual.

TRIP-OVER PROTECTION

A tip-over switch is placed at the bottom of the heater, when the heater is taken away or knocked over by pets or humans, the heater will be shut off automatically to prevent burning combustible materials.

MAINTENANCE

Daily Maintenance:

  • Before cleaning, turn OFF the heater unplug it from the electrical outlet, and wait for it to cool down.
  • Carefully wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Please be very cautious near the motor and heating panel.
  • Do not immerse the heater in water.
  • Never use gasoline, benzene, or thinner. This will damage the surface of the heater.
  • After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel.

Storage Maintenance:

  • Store the heater in a cool and dry location with the power cord properly secured.
  • Please store the heater in its original carton or a suitable container.

Q: Are there any overheating protection measures?

  • A: Yes. A thermal overload protector is built in this heater. If the heater is overheated, it will automatically shut off, it’s a safety protection. When this situation happens, pull out the plug for 15-30 minutes and plug in again to restart the heater thermal overload protector.

Q: If the heater is tripped over, will it automatically be shut down?

  • A : Yes. There is a tip-over switch at the bottom of the heater, when the heater has been lifted and leaves from its position or is tripped over, it will be automatically shut off.

Q: Why does sometimes the heater suddenly shut off and even the power indicator go out?

  • A: In this situation, please refer to the “TRIP-OVER PROTECTION ” and OVERHEAT PROTECTION” parts.
