CHAMPION POWER EQUIPMENT 201185 4250W Wireless Remote Start Open Frame

WARNING: Read the ENTIRE operator’s manual to become familiar with the features of the product before operating. Failure to operate the product correctly can result in damage to the product, personal property and cause serious injury or even death.

Set Up

1. Open shipping carton. Assembly > Unboxing

2. Remove shipping spacers. ˜ Assembly > Remove Shipping Support Spacers.

3. Attach wheel kit. Assembly > Install the Wheel Kit

4. Connect the battery. Assembly > Connect the Battery.
   Cut cable tie on each side of battery connector. Push two halves of battery connector together tightly.

5. Add oil. Assembly > Add Engine Oil.
   Recommended: 10W-30, up to 18.6 fl. oz. (550 ml) DO NOT overfill.

Start Up

1. Move the generator outdoors

   • Move generator to an open, outdoor area.
   • Point exhaust away from people and buildings. Never run generator inside a home or garage.
   • Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from generator. Heat from the muffler and exhaust gas can ignite combustible materials.

2. Add fuel. Assembly > Add Fuel
   DO NOT use E15 or E85.

3. DO NOT plug in any electrical devices.
   NEVER START OR STOP THE GENERATOR WITH ELECTRICAL DEVICES CONNECTED OR TURNED ON!

4. Turn the fuel dial “ON”.

5. Press the START/STOP button to enter standby mode.
   NOTE: If the button does not illuminate, the battery is dead and the Manual Start with choke lever procedure should be used.

6. Wireless Start
   Press and release the “START button” on the remote key fob.

   • Electric Start
     Press the START/STOP button a second time. Button will flash green color as it attempts to start and will turn solid green when the generator starts.

   • Manual Start

   1. a. Move the choke lever to the “CHOKE” position, or,
      b. Press the choke button. Button will illuminate green.

   2. Pull the starter cord.

   3. a. Move the choke lever to the “RUN” position, or,
      b. Press the choke button. Button will no longer illuminate green.

7. Plug in. Operation > Connecting Electrical Loads.
