- Bolts and nuts
Installation
- Open the doors of your car.
- Thoroughly clean the rivet nuts and the roof where the clamps and feet for the load carriers will make contact with the paintwork to avoid any potential paintwork damage.
- Position the load carriers according to the markings on the mounting clamps. The markings indicate the correct placement of the carriers:

- Make sure that the pin is located in the rivet nut.
- Tighten the bolts on the clamp brackets, ensuring that you tighten the corresponding bolt on the other side.
- Use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to a torque of 5 Nm.
Product Usage
When using the load carriers, please keep the following safety instructions in mind:
- Do not exceed the maximum permitted roof load and total weight for your car. Refer to the owner’s manual for your car for specific weight limits.
- Distribute the load evenly over the loading surface and secure it properly to prevent it from coming loose during transportation.
- Regularly check that the load is secure and test drive a short distance to ensure that all bolted joints and brackets are properly secured. If necessary, re-tighten to the prescribed torque. Check at regular intervals.
- Be aware that adding a load on the roof may change the car’s driving characteristics and crosswind sensitivity. Adjust your speed accordingly, not exceeding the recommended speed limits.
- For the safety of other road users and to save energy, remove the load carriers when they are not in use.
Safety Instructions
For your safety and the safety of others, please follow these instructions:
- Read and understand all instructions before installing and using the load carriers.
- Only use the load carriers for their intended purpose and within their specified weight limits.

- Loosen the cover on the load carriers by turning the locking key 90° anticlockwise, and then carefully loosen the cover.
- Remove the cover.
- To install the correct carrier in the correct place, refer to the marking on the mounting clamp which is located under the cover.
The mounting clamps are marked:
- LF = left front
- RF = right front
- LR = left rear
- RR = right rear
- Undo the bolts slightly on both sides of the load carrier’s clamp bracket.
- Pull the clamp bracket out and fold it up.
