Product Information
The Vulcan 180 HAZ-LO is a multi-function, rechargeable lantern designed for use in hazardous locations. It is rated as Class I, Division 1 safety rated, making it suitable for portable scene lighting in hazardous environments. The lantern features three extreme bright white LEDs and two ultra-bright blue taillights for visibility in thick smoke. It has a rubberized, cushioned grip handle, reinforced D-rings, and a heavy-duty shoulder strap for easy handling. The lantern is constructed with a high-impact, super-tough nylon body and a head made of high-grade aluminum encased in super-tough nylon. It has an IP65 rating, making it dust-tight and water-resistant.
The Vulcan 180 HAZ-LO has a multi-function, push-button switch that is easy to use even with gloved hands. It has a locking mechanism to keep the head in place and a handle clearance that accommodates heavy gloves for easier hand- offs. The lantern also features a battery status/charge indicator and can be programmed to turn on or off. It operates in high and low modes:
- High Mode: Produces a bright, far-reaching beam of 400 lumens with a beam distance of 316 meters. It runs for 10 hours.
- Low Mode: Produces a less intense beam of 130 lumens with a beam distance of 179 meters. It runs for 24 hours.
The lantern is powered by a lithium-ion battery that can be recharged in 15 hours.
The Vulcan 180 HAZ-LO comes in two color options:
- Orange Models: Include a quick-release strap.
- Yellow Models: Feature a heavy-duty strap.
The product is available in different configurations:

- 44331: Vulcan 180 HAZ-LO Std System – 120V/100V AC/12V DC

Product Usage Instructions
- Before using the Vulcan 180 HAZ-LO for the first time, ensure that it is fully charged by connecting it to a power source using the provided charger.
- To turn on the lantern, press the multi-function, push-button switch located on the body of the lantern. Press the switch again to cycle through the different modes (high and low).
- To turn off the lantern, press and hold the multi-function switch for a few seconds until it powers off.
- To check the battery status or charge level, refer to the battery status/charge indicator located on the lantern.
- If desired, the lantern can be programmed to turn on or off. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to program the lantern.
- To ensure maximum visibility, activate the two ultra-bright blue taillights located on the back of the lantern. These taillights provide visibility in thick smoke or low-light conditions.
- When not in use, store the Vulcan 180 HAZ-LO in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
- Follow proper charging procedures and avoid overcharging the lithium-ion battery to maintain its longevity.
