How to Use

1. Firstly, please check the sunlight environment.
   • Place the Solar Panel under strong sunlight (such as 9:00 am to 17:00, different countries have different effective illumination time)
   • Angle solar panels toward sunlight vertical direction, which makes devices get the maximum conversion efficiency of solar energy.
   • Do remove any possible shelters.
2. 2. Secondly, how to charge for smart phones and laptops, etc.
   • Please check the indicator light status, LED indicator light on means the output current is working.
   • Make proper connection between your device and the product with provided cables or certificated cables, With multiple over charging technology, it will automatically turn off when your device’s battery is full.
   • Check whether the cellphone / laptop and other devices have charging status or not (the charging current of 18V 100W is less than 2A If lack of intensive sunlight, most laptops need more than 3A current, if it can not charge your laptop, it is suggested to turn off your laptop and then recharge it)
3. Other usages: we provide two kinds of cables for attaching with vehicle’s batteries.
4. For cars, make sure you have a “live” lighter socket: the socket in the car gets power at all times from the battery, whether the key is in the ignition or not.
5. For automobile and motorboat, Please co-ordinate with control modules and attach it to your battery directly with red and black Clamps. But you need to disconnect it every time you start the vehicle.

  * ( **Notice:** Do connect the red(+)and black(-)clamps to your battery’s positive and negative appropriately before making connection with the solar panel. To remove the product, you need to disconnect the solar panel firstly, then remove the alligator clip and battery connection. Keep the terminals and battery casing clean.)

How to chain multiple Solar Panels together

If you prefer, you can have no more than 4 suitcases chained together, the currents are additive when suitcases are connected directly in parallel.

Steps

1. Using the DC5525 to DC5521 extension cable AWG# 18 for chaining, plug the connector (DC5525) into the 18/ port(See picture).
2. The other male connector DC5521) go towards to the parallel port on the other solar controller box.
3. The remaining 18V port will deliver total output current for powering laptops, generators or other 18V DC-Powered devices (Note: Only for 18V ports, the output from USB ports won’t change.)

Notifications

1. Please use the charger under sunny conditions, the current is relatively small in cloudy day, so the charging speed is relatively slow.
2. Phone / iPad requires a large current, please re-insert USB to activate charge if there is a note “This device is not support”. It is suggested to close your laptop and recharge it cause the current is small.
3. The solar energy is for emergency purposes, the charging takes a long time; For better effect, it is recommended to use the charging with power bank, the current is more stable and safe.
4. When charging, we don’t advice a long-term outdoor exposure of mobile phones and other devices, high temperature may lead to the fail of the battery.
5. Product is made from recyclable solar panel and the solar panels belong to physical batteries which can be used for many times, even after five years of use and marital aging, its power can still achieve more than 80%.
6. Please do not worry it can damage your battery because it has PWM solar charge controller to against short circuit and overcurrents.

Cautions

1. Do not scratch the surface of the solar panel with a sharp object.
2. Place the solar panels in direct sunlight, adjust it’s angel towards sunlight (vertical direction to achieve the optimal charging effect.
3. The waterproof coeffcient of the solar panel is IP66, which is rainproof and can be immersed in water for a short time, but it is forbidden to immerse in water for a long time. Once it is short-circuited due to water immersion, please stop using it and contacting the seller.
4. It is normal that solar panel get hotter during working time as it is recharged by solar energy
   • ( Attention: it’s unable to used in cloudy day. If you can’t test the Solar Panel due to the bad weather, then you can use the 1000W bath heater. Just open the bathroom heater, keeping 20-30cm distance from the lamp, it can reach 50-60 efficiency of the design capacity, which can be used for a short test. )
5. Do not step, stand or jump on the surface of the solar panel. Heavy or sharp objects may scratch the solar panel and cause small cracks, affecting the output power or scratching the human body.
6. If the solar panel is broken, please stop using it and contact professional maintenance personnel or the manufacturer’s after-sales service mailbox. A professional will fix it rather than fix it yourself.
