What should I could not get 4k resolution when I connect monitor to the

docking?

1. Try to change the resolution manually.
   For windows, please go to display>>advanced display and follow the picture below to change the resolution manually.
   
   For mac OS, please choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays.
   Please press alt and click scaled at the same time to choose the 4k resolution.
   

2. Try to install the latest driver from the link below: https://www.siliconmotion.com/downloads/index.html

3. Make sure the 4k monitor should connect to the 4k hdmi port.

4. Try to change another hdmi cable.

5. If possible, please try to test the docking with another laptop/pc and check if the same thing happen? (To confirm if such problem is related with the host environment)

6. Please connect the monitor to the pc/laptop directly and check if the same thing happen. (To rule out the problem of the monitor and the hdmi cable)

What should I do if the monitor keep blinking?

1. Disable USB selective suspend

2. Open the Control Panel on your PC

3. Select Hardware and Sound

4. Select Power Options

5. Select Change plan settings against your preferred power plan

6. Select Change advanced power settings

7. In the Power Options dialog that opens select USB settings

8. Select the USB selective suspend setting

9. Change the Setting to Disabled
   

10. Disable the option of the usb root hub to allow the pc turn of this device to save power. You could do the same thing to all usb root hub.
    

11. Try to connect the monitor to laptop/pc directly and check if the same thing happen. (To rule out the problem of the video cable and the monitor)

12. If possible, please try to test the device with another laptop/host and check if the same thing happen. (To confirm if such problem is related with the host environment)

13. Try to change the refresh rate to 30hz or 60hz if possible.

Why the hdmi port could not work and other ports work well?

You might not install the driver.

And for mac OS, please make sure you should allow the macos instant View app to record the content of your screen and audio.
