Product Information

The Tapo Smart Button is a versatile device that can be paired with other Tapo smart devices to control various functions. It features an LED indicator for status notifications and is powered by a replaceable battery. The Tapo app provides a user-friendly interface to manage and monitor the device’s activities.

Product Usage Instructions

Pairing Mode:

1. Hold the main body of the Tapo Smart Button by the small tabs to prevent free rotation. Twist the lid anticlockwise and remove it.
2. If you are using the button for the first time, remove the battery insulation tab to power it up.
3. Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the LED starts blinking.
4. Open the Tapo app, tap the + icon on the upper right corner, and follow the app instructions to complete pairing. Alternatively, you can press the SYNC button on your Tapo hub to start pairing.
5. After pairing is complete, you can find your device on the home page of the Tapo app.

Battery Replacement

1. Hold the main body of the Tapo Smart Button by the small tabs to prevent free rotation. Twist the lid anticlockwise and remove it.
2. Remove the old battery.
3. Insert a new battery into the battery compartment, ensuring that the battery is level and its positive side is facing up.
4. Put the lid back on the device.

Checking Activities of Sensors and Buttons:

Method 1:

1. Open the Tapo app and tap your device card on the home page to enter the status page.
2. On the status page, you can check all activities of your device.

Method 2:

1. Open the Tapo app and tap the email icon on the top right to check all activities of your device.
