Product Information

Storing Power

The Hand Crank Flashlight Radio can be charged using different methods:

  • Solar Charging: Place the product with the solar panel facing sunlight for approximately 10-12 hours.
  • Hand Crank Charging: Lift the hand crank and turn it in either clockwise or counter-clockwise direction for 3-5 minutes to activate the internal battery. Additional cranking provides different durations of continuous light, radio use, and cell phone charging.
  • USB Port Charging: Lift the rubber cover to expose the power in jack. Insert one end of the charging cord into the mini USB jack and the other end into the computer’s USB port.

Note: When the unit has not been used for more than 60 days, it should be charged first before using.

Using the Radio

To use the radio:

  1. Turn the radio on/off dial clockwise to turn the radio on and control the volume.
  2. Select AM or FM, WB with the radio band selector.
  3. Extend the radio antenna for better reception.
  4. Turn the tuner dial to select the station. The tune indicator light will light green when the station is fully engaged.
  5. Note: WB Stations are only available outdoors.

Using the Flashlight
To use the flashlight, press the flashlight switch to turn it on and off.

**Charging Mobile Devices

To charge mobile devices:

  • Lift the rubber cover to expose the power out jack.
  • Insert one end of the charging cord into the USB jack and the other end into the device to be charged.
  • Charging is indicated by the red indicator light.

Note: The unit has discharging protection to turn off when the battery is overloading or short circuits.

Care and Maintenance

  • If necessary, wipe the outside of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Clean the lens with a standard lens cleaning product.
  • Do not clean the unit with harsh abrasive or any solvents.
  • The unit is water-resistant but not waterproof. Do not submerge it in water.
  • When the unit has not been used for more than 60 days, it should be charged first before using.

STORING POWER

Charging is indicated by the red indicator light.
When fully charged the red indicator light will turn off.

Solar Charging
Place product with the solar panel facing sunlight for approximately 10-12 hours.

Hand Crank Charging

  1. Carefully lift the hand crank.
  2. Turn the hand crank in either clockwise or counter clockwise direction for 3-5 minutes to activate the internal battery.

After initial 3-5 minute crank, turning the crank another minute will provide

  • Up to 70 minutes of continuous light use
  • Up to 20 minutes of continuous radio use
  • Charges cell phone for up to 5 minutes of continuous talk time

USB Port Charging
Lift rubber cover to expose the power in jack.
Insert one end of the charging cord into the mini USB jack and put the other end into the computer’s USB port.

USING THE RADIO

Turn the radio on/off dial clockwise to turn the radio on and to control the level of volume.
Select AM or FM, WB with radio band selector.

Press the flashlight switch to turn the flashlight on.
Press the flashlight switch to turn the flashlight off.

CHARGING MOBILE DEVICES

Lift rubber cover to expose the power out jack.
Insert one end of the charging cord into the USB jack and the other end into the device to be charged. Charging is indicated by the red indicator light.

Discharging Protection:
When the battery is overloading or short circuits, the unit will turn off.

BARSKA®, as manufacturer, warrants this new product to be free of original defects in materials and/or workmanship for the length of time specified by this warranty. This warranty does not include damage caused by abuse, improper handling, installation, maintenance, normal wear-and-tear, unauthorized repairs or modifications and tampering in anyway.
This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is not transferable. This warranty applies only to products purchased in the United States of America and Canada.
In the event of a defect within 30 days, the consumer must return the defective unit to the BARSKA® dealer (the place of purchase) at his/her own expense.
Beyond 30 days, BARSKA® products should be sent to the following address for warranty repairs. Products must be packed carefully and sturdily to prevent damage in transit, and returned freight prepaid to:

This product will either be replaced or repaired at the discretion of the warrantor. If it’s a discontinued item, we will replace the product with an equivalent product. Should the repair not be covered by this warranty, an estimate will be sent for your approval. Non-warranty repairs or refurbishing are always provided at a reasonable cost.
BARSKA® shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental and/or contingent damages whatsoever. We will not pay shipping,insurance or transportation charges from you to us, or any import fees, duties and or taxes. This warranty supersedes all previous BARSKA warranties.
