TROUBLESHOOTING AND HELPFUL HINTS
Doll does not react as described.| Check that batteries are in the unit and
inserted correctly according to the diagram inside the battery compartment.
Insert fresh batteries if problems persist.
---|---
Doll functions stop working.| Turn OFF the doll. Remove the batteries,
reinsert them, and move the switch back to the ON position.
Doll does not make sucking sounds with her bottle.| Push the bottle a little
farther into the doll’s mouth.
Doll does not suck on her pacifier or make sucking sounds.| Push the pacifier
a little farther into the doll’s mouth.
Doll does not suck on the bottle, water runs out of her mouth, or there are no
smacking sounds.| The bottle must be pressed correctly into the doll’s mouth,
and at the same time, the bottle must be squeezed gently so that water can run
into the doll’s internal system.
The doll cannot suck water. The water needs to be fed by fully inserting the
bottle into her mouth. Repeatedly squeeze and release the bottle to help her
drink. This also fills the internal system gradually to prevent water from
running from the doll’s mouth.
Water runs out of the doll’s mouth.| The bottle is not inserted far enough
into the doll’s mouth or the doll has had enough to drink, and her tear
function is now ready.
Doll does not cry.| The bottle is not inserted far enough into the doll’s
mouth.
This means the internal system does not have enough water to ensure proper
tear function. The doll’s tear function works best when she has consumed as
little as 1/4 of the water from the bottle. The included bottle is the only
one that can activate the tear function.
Doll has been fed with juice or tea by mistake.| Only use clean water. Feed
the doll clean, clear water until she has cried for awhile and her tears run
clear again.
