Intended use
- The product is a mode 2 electric vehicle (EV) charger.
- Use the product to charge electric and hybrid vehicles via mains supply.
- The product is equipped with a Type 2 (IEC 62196-2) connector.

Handling
- Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
Modifications
- Do not modify the product. Do not modify or repair electrical components including plugs, cables, and power supplies. Do not use damaged components. Risk of death by electric shock!
Product damage
- Do not use the product if any component is damaged. Discontinue the use.
- Do not touch the product if it is damaged. Risk of fatal electric shock!
- Power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker), and then carefully disconnect the product from the power supply
Operating environment
- Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
- Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, steam and solvents.
- Do not operate the product at temperatures that fall outside the operating and storage temperature ranges stated in the “Technical data”.
- Do not use charging cables and adaptors at temperatures that fall outside the operating and storage temperature ranges stated in the “Technical data”.
- Observe ingress protections of components as stated in the “Technical data”.
Power supply
- If you are not sure if your mains socket can power the charger, ask an electrician to check before use.
- Connect the product only to mains sockets that are protected by a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual current not exceeding 30 mA.
- Do not use an extension cable to connect the product to the power supply.
- Do not connect the product via a power strip to the power supply.
- In the event of danger, unplug the product from the power supply.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply during thunderstorms.
Electric cables
- Make sure that cables are not pinched, bent, twisted, rubbed against sharp edges or otherwise subjected to mechanical strain.
- Do not expose cables to thermal stress. Keep cables away from heat sources (example: ovens, radiators and fireplaces).
- Ensure that cables are not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
- Always lay cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses a risk of injury.
Electrical connections
- Never make connections if your hands are wet. Dry your hands before making connections.
- Do not insert fingers, other body parts or objects into the connector and adaptors.
- Always use the grips on the plugs to disconnect the plugs from the sockets. Never remove the plug from the socket by pulling on the cable.
- Do not allow foreign objects (especially metal objects) to fall into the charger plug or the connection pins.
Operation
- Always perform a visual inspection of all components before use. Do not use damaged components.
- If it rains while the vehicle is charging, make sure that water does not enter the connector or vehicle inlet. If water enters, disconnect the charger from the mains supply before you disconnect the connector from the vehicle inlet. Dry the vehicle inlet and connector before using again.
- To protect the connector from humidity and dirt, replace the protective cap after each use.
- Do not pull the connector from the vehicle inlet. Pulling on the connector can cause dangerous arcs that can result in death or serious injury.
- Never cover the charger during use.
- Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the product.
- If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental use. DO NOT attempt to repair the product yourself. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
Connected devices
- Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the product.
Drilling
When penetrating the surface (example: drilling or inserting fasteners), make
sure no cables or pipes are damaged. Inadvertently penetrating electric cables
causes the life-threatening danger of an electric shock! Check for concealed
wires and pipes before drilling or inserting fasteners.
Indicators and touch display
Charging status indicator
Display modes
Standby mode
- Display shows if the charger is not connected to the vehicle. Touch the button SETTING to enter the settings menu and configure the charging session.
Connection mode
- Display shows if the charger is connected to the vehicle and is establishing a communication channel.
Error mode
- Display shows if an error occurs. Refer to Troubleshooting [ 7] for details.
Charging mode
Display shows while the charger is charging the vehicle.
The display informs of:
- Remaining charging time (visual indication)
- Charging current
- Power consumption
Settings menu
- Setting Current: set the charging current
- Delay Charging: set the time delay after which the charger starts charging
- Charging Time: set the charging time
- NEXT PAGE: go to next menu page
Temperature unit
- Select temperature unit. Use the slider to switch between units.
- Adjust time settings. Touch the button OK to save.
- Set maximum charging current. Touch the button OK to save.
Charging the vehicle
Step 1: Select mains socket and adaptor
Select a suitable mains socket and adaptor cable for charging the vehicle.
- Locate a mains socket.
- Check that the mains socket satisfies one of the power requirements shown in the “Technical data”.
- Select an adaptor cable whose mains plug matches the mains socket.
Step 2: Prepare the vehicle
Secure and ready the vehicle for charging.
- Put on the emergency brake.
- Refer to the vehicle operation instructions and ready the vehicle for charging.
Step 3: Connect charger to mains socket
Use the adaptor cable you selected in step 1 to connect the charger to the
mains socket.
- Connect the adaptor cable to the charging unit inlet cable.
- Connect the mains plug on the adaptor cable to the mains socket that you will use to charge the vehicle.
- The display lights up.
Step 4: Configure charging session
Configure the charging parameters of the charging session via the touch
display. The charging unit automatically limits the max. charging current
based on the selected adaptor cable.
- Touch the button SETTING to enter the settings menu.
- Set the charging current. Touch the button Setting Current and adjust the current setting.
- (Optional) Set the charging duration. Touch the button Charging Time and adjust the time setting.
- (Optional) Set a delay timer after which charging starts. Touch the button Delay charging and set the time delay setting.
The charger is ready to charge the vehicle.
Step 5: Charge the vehicle
Charge the vehicle with the parameters you configured in step
4.
- Plug the connector into the vehicle inlet to start charging.
- Wait for charging to complete. Observe the display and charging status indications.
Step 6: End charging session
End the charging session if charging is complete.
- Carefully unplug the connector from the vehicle inlet.
- Attach the protective cap to the connector.
Step 6: Disconnect and store away
Disconnect and store away the charger after charging.
- Disconnect the charger from the mains supply.
- Disconnect the adaptor cable from the charging unit inlet cable.
- Let charger cool down to room temperature.
- Store away the charger.
Installation
- For use in a fixed location, wall-mount the charger bracket and the connecter storage hook.
- Observe the following for the installation:
- Use the supplied installation materials.
- Protect the mains connection (mains socket/mains plug) from dust, water, and high humidity at all times. Only the charging unit and the connector are protected against water and dust.
Cleaning
Important
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions.
- They damage the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
- Do not immerse the product in water.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply.
- Let the product cool down to ambient temperature.
- Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible cause | Suggested solution |

Leakage protection warning shows.

Short circuit warning shows.

Short circuit caused by wa- ter, dirt, or foreign objects in connector or vehicle inlet.
| 1. Disconnect the charger from the power supply.
2. Check the cables for damage. Never use dam- aged cables.
3. Clean and dry the con- nector.
4. Clean and dry the vehicle inlet.
If the warning remains, con- tact a specialist.
Over temperature warning shows.
| Charger is overheating. Charger fails to cool.| ■ Move the charger out of the sun.
■ Charge during lower am- bient temperatures.
■ Let the charger cool to room temperature before charging again.
■ Set a lower charging cur- rent.
Note: charging resumes automatically as soon as the temperature falls to a safe level.
CP error warning shows.

Charger fails to communic- ate with the vehicle.
| 1. Disconnect the charger from the power supply.
2. Clean and dry the con- nector.
3. Clean and dry the vehicle inlet.
4. Try to charge again.
Disposal
- This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
- Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators, which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end users from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a collection point.
