Product Information

The PTZ camera (model O4P25X2) is a versatile security camera designed for monitoring and surveillance purposes. It features a high-quality CMOS sensor for clear and detailed imaging. The camera supports both 24VDC/AC power supply and Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality. It also includes audio in/out ports, alarm input/output ports, and an Ethernet connector for easy connectivity.

Important Safeguards and Warnings

  1. Electrical Safety: Ensure that all installation and operation adhere to local electrical safety codes. Use a certified/listed 24VDC/AC Class 2 power supply or adequate PoE switch. Ground the product to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  2. Operation and Daily Maintenance: Prior to maintenance work, shut down the device and unplug the power cable. Avoid touching the CMOS sensor optic component. Clean the lens surface with a blower or a dry soft cloth. If necessary, use a cloth dampened with a small quantity of neutral detergent. For enclosure cleaning, use a professional optical cleaning method to prevent poor IR functionality and/or IR reflection. Ground the product for enhanced reliability.
  3. Warning : Only qualified personnel should install and perform examination or repair work on the camera. Unauthorized changes or modifications may void the warranty.

Installation:

Before installation, ensure that all components are included in the package. Contact your representative or Speco customer service if anything is broken or missing.

  1. Ensure the wall is strong enough to support the camera’s weight.
  2. Power off the camera before installation.
  3. Install SD Card:
  4. Loosen the two screws of the dome.
  5. Open the cover and insert the SD card.
  6. Install the Speed Dome:
  7. Fasten the adapter to the bracket.
  8. Drill screw holes on the wall according to the provided template and insert screw anchors.
  9. Attach the bracket to the wall using four screws.
  10. Hook the safety wire to the bracket and connect the cables.
  11. Secure the speed dome to the bracket with screws.

Cable Connection:

Ensure proper cable connection for optimal functionality:

  • Connect the alarm inputs/outputs according to the labeled terminals (ALM-OPEN, ALM-COM, ALM-GND, ALM-IN1).
  • For the power supply, connect the DC24V or AC24V power input to the appropriate terminal.
  • Connect the camera to an earth ground for added safety.

    • Do not expose the unit to heavy stress, violent vibration or long-term exposure to water and humidity during transportation, storage, and/or installation.
    • Do not install near sources of heat.
    • Only install the product in environments inside the specification operating temperature and humidity range.
    • Do not install the camera near power lines, radar equipment or other electromagnetic radiation.
    • Do not block any ventilation openings if any.
    • Use all the weatherproofing hardware requirement to minimize weather intrusion.
  • Operation and Daily Maintenance
    • Please shut down the device and then unplug the power cable before you begin any maintenance work.
    • Do not touch the CMOS sensor optic component. You can use a blower to clean the dust on the lens surface.
    • Always use the dry soft cloth to clean the device. If there is too much dust, use a cloth dampened with a small quantity of neutral detergent. Finally use the dry cloth to clean the device.
    • Please use a professional optical cleaning method to clean the enclosure. Improper enclosure cleaning (such as using cloth) may result in poor IR functionality and/or IR reflection. The grounding holes of the product are recommended to be grounded to further enhance the reliability of the camera.
  • Warning
    • This camera should be installed by qualified personnel only.
    • All the examination and repair work should be done by qualified personnel.
    • Any unauthorized changes or modifications could void the warranty.

Installation

Please make sure the wall is strong enough to bear the dome camera’s weight. Please make sure the camera is powered off during installation.

  1. Loosen the two screws of the dome.
  2. Open the cover and insert SD card.

Install the Speed Dome

  1. Fasten the adpater to the bracket.speco-technologies-O4P25X2-PTZ-Camera-FIG- \(5\)
  2. Drill the screw holes on the wall according to the drill template. Then insert the screw anchors into the holes.
  3. Attach the bracket to the wall with four screws.
  4. Hook the safety wire to the bracket. Then connect the cables. After that, secure the speed dome to the bracket with the screws .

Alarm Connection:

Alarm Input

  • There is one independent alarm input port (ALM-IN1) and one grounding port (ALM-GND).
  • Alarm input(NO type): Connect DC5V~DC12V voltage between the alarm input port( ALM-IN1) and the grounding port (ALM-GND).
  • Alarm input(NC type): Disconnect the voltage between the alarm input port(ALM-IN1) and the grounding port (ALM-GND).

Alarm Output

  • Support 1CH alarm output including OPEN, COM connections.
  • Alarm output: One passive switch for user to connect alarm devices; the alarm output state will be auto on/off according to your setting.

Web Operation and Login

IP Scanner can search for the device on the local network.

Operation

  1. Make sure that the camera and the PC are connected to the same local network. The camera is set to DHCP by default.
  2. Install IP Scanner from the CD and run it after installation.speco-technologies-O4P25X2-PTZ-Camera-FIG- \(10\)
  3. In the device list, you can view the IP address, model number, and MAC address of each device. Select the applicable device and double click to open up the web viewer. The login interface is shown above. Default user name is admin and password is 1234. After logging in, follow directions to install applicable plugins if prompted.
