The CU4158-000 | FIST-GCO2-BE8-NN is a single-ended, O-ring sealed dome closure designed for splicing feeder and distribution cables. It is compatible with most common cable types, including loose tube, central core, and ribbon fiber. The closure features a universal mounting system (UMS) that provides a foundation for mounting combinations of FIST splice trays. It can be used in aerial, pedestal, and underground environments up to 5 meters. Additionally, it is compatible with CommScope’s CWDM modules and optical splitter trays.

Product Usage Instructions
To use the CU4158-000 FIST-GCO2-BE8-NN dome closure, follow these steps:
- Select the appropriate cable entry port style based on your cable type. The dome closure supports both round and oval cable entry.
- If required, use the gel kit for cable sealing. This is an optional step.
- Apply heat shrink closure sealing to ensure proper sealing of the dome closure.
- Mount the dome-to-base clamp with O-ring to secure the closure.
- Select the suitable mounting option – pole, strand, or wall – based on your installation requirements.
- Determine the network area type as distribution.
- If needed, add splice trays to the closure. The CU4158-000 | FIST-GCO2-BE8-NN does not include any splice trays by default.
- The dome closure has a maximum splicing capacity of 1728 for mass fusion and 1344 for single fusion splicing.
- Ensure you use the supported splicing type, which includes both mass fusion and single fusion methods.
