COMMSCOPE SYSTIMAX 360 Evolve Modular Panel

Product Information

The SYSTIMAX 360TM Evolve Modular Panel is a flat or angled panel used for organizing and managing cables. It comes in two sizes: 24-port and 48-port, and four variations: 24-port flat panel, 48-port flat panel, 24-port angled panel, and 48-port angled panel. The package includes front and side covers, cable management bar and troughs, hook-and-loop straps, mounting screws, labels, label retainers, and an instruction sheet.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Verify the parts from the parts list.
2. Mount the panel to the rack using the provided screws.
3. After securing the panel to the rack, snap the Evolve covers onto the front of the panel. Make sure that the SYSTIMAX name is upright on the flat panel cover and on the angled panel center cover before snapping in place.
4. Attach the four cable troughs onto the bar and insert four hook-and-loop straps into slots in the cable troughs.
5. Attach the cable bar to the rear of the panel. For 48-port panels, two cable bars are provided.
6. Lay cables evenly in cable troughs and secure them using hook-and-loop straps.
7. Connect cables to outlets per instructions provided with the individual outlets.
8. Populate the panel with outlets and route cabling as shown. Secure cables using the hook-and-loop straps provided.
9. Print port designations on label sheets provided.
10. Insert labels and label retainers into the outlet bezel from the front as shown.

General

The SYSTIMAX 360™ Evolve modular panel is a highly flexible front or rear- accessible patch panel assembly. It is available as a 1U flat panel, 1U angled panel, 2U flat panel, and 2U angled panel. When installed with M-series outlets, modular patch cords, and cables, it is an integral part of the SYSTIMAX® connectivity system. The panel consists of a rack-mounted base unit, front cover, rear cable management hardware, and labels for port numbering. It mounts in a standard 19-inch (483mm) equipment rack with universal hole spacing.

Step 1: Mount Panel To Rank

1. Mount the panel to the rack using the 12-24 screws provided. After securing the panel to the rack, snap the Evolvecovers onto the front of the panel.
   Note : Verify the SYSTIMAX name is upright on flat panel cover and on the angled panel center cover before snapping in place. These two covers can be installed upside down. Side covers on angled panels are interchangeable and are not side specific.

Step 2 – Assemble and Install the Rear Cable Manager

1. Attach the four cable troughs onto bar as shown and insert four hook-and-loop straps into slots in the cable troughs.
2. Attach cable bar to the rear of panel. For 48-port panels, two cable bars are provided.
3. Lay cables evenly in cable troughs and secure using hook-and-loop straps as shown.

Step 3 – Populate Panel with Outlets

1. Connect cables to outlets per instructions provided with the individual outlets.
2. Populate the panel with outlets and route cabling as shown. Secure cables using the hook-and-loop straps provided.
3. The figures above illustrate a typically completed installation.

Step 4 – Install Port Designation Labels

1. Print port designations on label sheets provided.
2. Insert labels and label retainers into the outlet bezel from the front as shown.
3. To print a designation label, go to http://www.commscope.com/Resources/Labeling-Templates and scroll down to 360 Panels and Shelves. Select the proper label template:
   • 360 Evolve Label Sheet A4 (760187286)
   • 360 Evolve Label Sheet US LTR (760187278)

Note: The labeling website has two options for printing labels: letter size and A4 size.
