Product Usage Instructions

Battery Installation

  1. Use a Phillips-head or cross screwdriver to loosen the screw securing the battery cover on the bottom of the remote control.
  2. Insert the batteries, ensuring the correct polarity as per the diagram on the battery compartment.
  3. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw.

Battery Charging

  1. Ensure the Hydro Racer is powered off, dry, and not touching water before charging.
  2. To access the charging port, rotate the helmet counterclockwise and remove it.
  3. Connect the USB-C power cable built into the remote control to the charging port.

Pairing

  1. Make sure the remote control is powered off and the Hydro Racer is out of the water.
  2. Power on the remote control by rotating the power knob clockwise. The status light on the remote control will start to slowly flash while in pairing mode.
  3. Place the Hydro Racer in the water.
  4. Press the left or right joystick on the remote control and wait for the status light on the remote control to stop flashing. When the status light stops flashing, the Hydro Racer and remote control are paired and ready for racing.

Controls

  1. Press up or down on the left joystick to pilot the Hydro Racer forwards or backwards.
  2. Press left or right on the right joystick while pressing up or down on the left joystick to turn the Hydro Racer left or right.

Battery Installation

The Hydro Racer includes a built-in 1.2V 120mAh NIMH rechargeable battery. The remote control requires 4 AA 1.5V batteries (not included).

  1. Use a Phillips-head or cross screwdriver to loosen the screw securing the battery cover on the bottom of the remote control.
  2. Insert the batteries, ensuring the correct polarity s per the diagram on the battery compartment.
  3. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw.

Battery Charging
The Hydro Racer features a built-in rechargeable battery that is non- replaceable. If the battery no longer maintains charge, dispose of the Hydro Racer according to federal, state, and local laws for battery disposal.

CAUTION:
If battery fluid leaks, dispose of the Hydro Racer immediately.
Do not allow battery fluid to contact skin or eyes.

  1. Always make sure the Hydro Racer is powered off, dry, and not touching water before charging.
  2. To access the charging port, rotate the helmet counterclockwise and remove it.
  3. Connect the USB-C power cable built into the remote control to the charging port or recharge using a detached USB-C power cable and power adapter (not included). The charging LED indicator turns red during charging and turns off when finished. Fully charging takes approximately 40 minutes using a 5V/1A power adapter.
  4. Replace the helmet and rotate it clockwise until secure. To help protect the charging port from moisture and accidental splashes, only pilot the Hydro Racer with the helmet properly secured in place.
  5. When racing speed slows, immediately pilot to the edge of the water and retrieve the Hydro Racer for recharging. Repeat steps 1 – 4. Eco mode automatically activates to save power until retrieval. Up to 10 minutes runtime on a full charge.

PLAY

Pairing
The Hydro Racer automatically syncs to the remote control using a 2.4GHz digital connection for interference-free racing with up to 10 other racers.

  1. Make sure the remote control is powered off and the Hydro Racer is out of the water.
  2. Power on the remote control by rotating the power knob clockwise. The status light on the remote control will start to slowly flash while the remote control is in pairing mode.
  3. Place the Hydro Racer in the water.
  4. Press the left or right joystick on the remote control and wait for the status light on the remote control to stop flashing. When the status light stops flashing, the Hydro Racer and remote control are paired and you can start racing.

Controls

  1. Press up or down on the left joystick to pilot the Hydro Racer forwards or backwards.
  2. Press left or right on the right joystick while pressing up or down on the left joystick to turn the Hydro Racer left or right.

Troubleshooting

  • If the Hydro Racer and remote control do not pair within 60 seconds, power off the remote control by turning the power knob counterclockwise and remove the Hydro Racer from the water. Repeat steps 1 – 4 in the pairing instructions.
  • If the Hydro Racer and remote control have not been used within 5 minutes, both will enter sleep mode to save charge. Repeat steps 1 – 4 in the pairing instructions.
  • To help prevent accidental contact with spinning propellers, the Hydro Racer will not power unless placed in water. The water sensors on the bottom of the Hydro Racer must be in contact with water or the motor will stop.

SAFETY WARNING

  • Never operate the Hydro Racer without proper adult supervision.
  • Do not operate during thunderstorms or rain.
  • Splashing may occur. Do not pilot near objects, flooring, or materials that may be damaged by water.
  • Operate the Hydro Racer only in swimming pools filled with salt-free water.
  • Avoid exposure to salt water, as this will corrode the Hydro Racer parts.
  • Never submerge remote control in water.
  • Disconnect battery when not in use to avoid accidental operation.
  • Do not use people or animals as obstacles inside pool.
  • Do not run the Hydro Racer into pool walls, objects, or other hard surfaces, as this will cause damage to the Hydro Racer.
  • Keep fingers, hair, and loose clothing away from the spinning propellers while the Hydro Racer is operational.
  • Do not leave the Hydro Racer or remote control near sources of heat or under direct sunlight for extended periods.
  • Do not leave the Hydro Racer or remote control outside overnight.
  • Always remove the Hydro Racer from water when not in use.

Alkaline Battery Warnings

  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
  • Alkaline batteries are recommended. Use only the specified voltage.
  • Insert batteries using the correct polarity. Always use, replace, and recharge (if applicable) batteries under adult supervision.
  • Do not short-circuit the battery supply terminals.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak.
  • Remove batteries before storing.
  • Recycle or dispose of batteries according to federal, state, and local laws.
  • Keep these instructions for future reference.

  • Recycle or dispose of battery according to federal, state, and local laws.
