COMMSCOPE NOVUX Fiber Optic System Grounding Kit For CC 40
Product Information
The product is the NOVUXTM Fiber Optic System NVX-GRND-CC-NN-C04, which is a
grounding kit designed for CC 40. It is used to provide grounding for the CC
40 cable.
The kit includes a grounding bar and a screw. The cable diameter range is
14mm, and it is suitable for round cables.
Product Usage Instructions
- Prepare the armored feeder cable by positioning it on the bracket with the jacket end aligned with the indicated line on the bracket and the sheath opening against the T-shape. Cut the strength member to the appropriate length.
- Select the subunits that will be used for splicing to the drops and set them aside. Route the unused subunits along the center of the bracket and place the strength member in place. Install the hose clamp and secure it with an appropriate tool. Ensure that the sheath opening is positioned against the teeth of the bracket.
- Guide the unused subunits under the lip and install the other side in the same way.
- Install the grounding bar in the center of the feeder cable bracket and secure it by tightening the screw.
- Install the feeder cable bracket by inserting the two pins on the top of the bracket into the two holes on the tray. Push the assembly inside the tray until you hear a click on both sides, indicating that it is secured.

Prepare armored feeder cable

For cable with shielding, remove a section of the outer sheath 180° around the cable over a length of 2 cm / 0.8 Inches measured from the end of the outer sheath in order to expose the cable shielding.

Position the cable on the bracket with the jacket end aligned with the indicated line on the bracket and the sheath opening against the T-shape. Verify the length of the strength member and cut to length.

Select the subunits that will be used for splicing to the drops. Keep them aside. Route the unused subunits along the center of bracket and place the strength member in place. Install the hose clamp and secure with an appropriate tool.
Note : Make sure the sheath opening is positioned against the teeth of the bracket. -
Guide the unused subunits under the lip. Install the other side in the same way
Grounding installation
- Install the grounding bar in the center of the feeder cable bracket.
- Secure the grounding bar by tightening the screw.
Install feeder cable bracket
- Insert the 2 pins on the top of the bracket into the 2 holes on the tray.
- Push the assembly inside the tray.
- The assembly is secured when you hear a click on both sides
