Tasmota L12T Roller Blind Switch Wi-Fi

Product Information

Tasmota is a user-friendly and versatile smart home product that allows you to control and manage your connected appliances. It provides various features and integrations to enhance your smart home experience. The power on/off operating principle of Tasmota is based on controlling the connected appliances through the live wire power on/off. It is important to note that the S1 and S2 terminals must be connected to the Neutral wire.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Plug in the Tasmota device.
  2. Find an open Wi-Fi hotspot with “Tasmota” in its name.
  3. Connect your device to the Wi-Fi hotspot.
  4. Open a web browser and enter the address192.168.4.1.
  5. Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password in the provided fields.
  6. After confirming the network data, the power strip will display an IP address. Make sure to copy it for future reference.
  7. The device will automatically redirect you to the assigned IP address after saving the network data.
  8. Your Tasmota power strip is now ready to use. The template and rules are already activated.

Template Parameters

Using this template turns the unit into a simple 2-gang switch (e.g., L13 [2 gang]).

To operate the unit as a roller shutter switch, follow these commands:

  • Enable the command: SetOption80 1
  • Activate ShutterRelay1: activate ShutterRelay1 1
  • Set Interlock for switches: Interlock 1,2 Interlock ON
  • Set SwitchMode1 and SwitchMode2 to 4. Refer to the SwitchModes documentation for more details.
  • Calibrate the device for the distance of your curtains. Consult the Blinds and Shutters configuration page for guidance.

Switch Module to Curtain Module Conversion

  • If there is a power button:
    • Hold the power button for 40+ seconds until the light blinks and the device restarts.
  • If there is no power button:
    • Plug the device in and out 6 times, and on the 7th time, leave it plugged in. The LED should start blinking, indicating that the socket is ready to be connected again.
    • If you have access to the web interface, type reset 1 in the console and press enter.

Connection

Tasmota is not a commercial product and support is limited. You have to be willing to research and solve potential problems yourself.

  • Power on
    • ON/OFF operating principle: The connected appliances work/stop throught live wire power on/off.

Note: The S1 and S2 must be connected to Neutral

How to connect

  1. Plug in the device
  2. Find open wifi hotspot with Tasmota word in name
  3. Connect to it and go to 192.168.4.1 address in browser
  4. Enter your wifi network name and password
  5. After confirming network data, power strip will show you IP address that it will be available from, copy it, just in case.
  6. It will automatically redirect you to this address after you network data is filled and saved.
  7. Power strip is ready to use. Template and rules already activated, but in case you will need it later – you can find it below

  • Then the device should be calibrated for the distance of your curtains, have a look at Blinds and Shutters configuration page.

How to convert switch module to curtain module

  • if there is power button:
    • Hold the power button 40+ seconds, untill light blinks and device restarts
  • if there is no power button:
    • Plug the device in and out 6 times and leave plugged in on the 7th – LED should start to blink, that means socket is ready to be connected again
