Product Usage Instructions

1. Read and understand the instructions before installing the Flowmaster performance system.
2. Check and inventory all parts to ensure nothing is missing. If any items are missing, contact our tech line before proceeding.
3. Raise the vehicle using a hoist or rack. If a hoist or rack is not available, support the vehicle with jack stands.
4. Allow the vehicle’s engine to cool completely before touching any factory engine components to avoid burns.
5. Support the exhaust with stands and loosen the clamp. Separate both rubber isolators from the frame and remove the muffler, leaving the isolators on it.
6. Apply an anti-seize compound to threaded fasteners for a more secure installation.
7. Place the rear frame hanger (2) onto the driver side isolator mount studs and fasten it with the provided lock nuts (10).
8. Fasten the rear frame hanger (3) to the other side using the provided bolts (5), lock washers (8), flat washers (7), and nuts (6).
9. Place the rubber hanger (4) onto the rear frame hangers.
10. Connect the muffler (1) to the mid pipe, inserting the wire hanger into the rubber hanger. Adjust the muffler to fit properly and tighten the clamp.
11. Fit the provided hanger keepers (9) onto each hanger.
12. Recommended: Secure slip-fit connections with a 1-inch tack weld and spray high-temp paint over each weld to prevent rust and premature corrosion.
13. Congratulations! The installation of your Flowmaster performance exhaust system is now complete.

OVERVIEW

• Take a moment to read and understand these instructions before installing your Flowmaster performance system.
  NOTE: Please inventory all parts now before continuing and if necessary, report any missing items to our tech line. This will avoid poten? ally stranding your vehicle un? l any missing replacement parts arrive.

PREPARE VEHICLE FOR KIT INSTALLATION:

• Raise vehicle up on a hoist or rack to working height. If you don’t have access to a hoist or rack, support vehicle with jack stands.

WARNING :
Avoid serious burns! Allow your vehicle  me to cool completely before touching any factory engine components.

To ease preparation and installation of your new kit:

• Apply penetrating lubricant to mounts, bolts and clamps before you remove them.
• Use stands as necessary to support parts as you detach them from your vehicle and again as you install new parts.

Support exhaust with stands. Loosen clamp, separate both rubber isolators from frame then dismount muffl er (leaving isolators on it) and remove it from vehicle.

INSTALL FLOWMASTER EXHAUST SYSTEM

• Apply anti -seize compound to threaded fasteners for a more secure install.
  NOTE: The image in this step is intended for illustrative purposes only and may or may not accurately refl ect components included in your kit.

• Place rear frame hanger (2) onto driver side isolator mount studs then fasten it with (x2) lock nuts (10). Fasten rear frame hanger (3) to other side with (x2 ea.) bolts (5), lock washers (8), fl at washers (7) and nuts (6). Place rubber hanger (4) onto rear frame hangers.

• Connect muffler (1) to mid pipe, inserting wire hanger into rubber hanger. Adjust muffler to fit properly as shown then tighten clamp.

• Fit (x4) hanger keepers (9) onto each hanger.

• Recommended: Secure slip-fi t connections with a 1-inch tack weld then spray high-temp paint over each weld to prevent rust and premature corrosion.
