wis network V2.0 AP Access to WIS Cloud

Product Information

The product is the WIS Cloud AP by WISNETWORKS LIMITED. It is a device that allows users to connect to the WIS cloud server and manage WIS cloud APs. The device requires a WIS cloud account for setup and configuration.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Registering a WIS cloud account:
  2. Open a web browser and enter http://ac.wisnetworks.com:8080 to access the WIS cloud server.
  3. Click on “Click here to register” to create a WIS cloud account.
  4. Provide a custom username, a correct email address for verification, and a custom password.
  5. Click on “Register”. The page will show that the registration is successful and send the verification information to the provided email.
  6. Login to your email, click the received verification URL, or open it through a browser to complete the verification process.
  7. Adding and managing WIS cloud APs:
  8. Set up the WIS cloud AP:
  * Set your PC’s IP address as 192.168.1.xx (xx can be any number between 1 and 254, except 2) to avoid conflicts with other IPs in the network.
  * Run a web browser and enter <http://192.168.1.2:8888> to access the default IP address of the WIS cloud AP.
  * Enter the default username “admin” and password “admin” (you can change the password later).
  * Click “Login” to access the software system.
  * Note: If your AP gets its IP from a router, please log in to the router to check the IP address of the cloud AP.
2. Modify the Cloud Controller Address:
  * Click on “System” in the menu to enter the system interface.
  * Modify the Cloud Controller Address to “ac.wisnetworks.com”.
3. Reboot the AP to apply the changes.
  1. Adding an AP to the WIS cloud server:
  2. Login to the WIS cloud server using your registered cloud account.
  3. Click on the “AP” menu and then click on “Add” to add an AP.
  4. Enter a name for the AP (can be customized), the AP serial number, and the MAC address (you can find these details on the AP’s status page).
  5. Click “OK” to add the AP. The system will show a confirmation message.
  6. Confirm that the AP is online:
    After the AP restarts, check if it can access the internet normally. The AP should be shown as online in the system interface.

Register a WIS cloud account

  1. Open the browser and enter http://ac.wisnetworks.com:8080 to access the WIS cloud server.

  2. Click “Click here to register” to register a WIS cloud account. Username : You can enter a custom username.
    Email : A correct email to receive verification information.
    Password : You can enter a custom password.

  3. Click Register, the page will show that the registration is successful and send the verification information to your email.

  4. Login to your email, click the received verification URL, or open it through a browser, and the verification is successful.

Add and manage WIS cloud APs

Set the WIS cloud AP

  1. Set PC and set the IP address as 192.168.1.x(x is 1-254 except 2, to make sure no conflict with other IPs in the network.)

    • Run the Web browser, input http://192.168.1.2:8888(default IP address), and enter.
    • Enter default username: admin, password: admin (You can change this password after entering the system) , and then click Login to the software system.
      Note : If your AP gets its IP from a router, please log in to the router to check the IP address of the cloud AP.
  2. Click “System” in the menu to enter the system interface and modify the Cloud Controller Address to ‘ac.wisnetworks.com’.

  3. Finally, reboot the AP

After the AP restarts, please confirm that the AP can access the Internet normally.

Add AP to the WIS cloud server.

  • Use the registered cloud account to login to the WIS cloud server
  • Click the AP menu, and then click Add to add AP
  • Enter the name (can be customized), AP serial number and MAC address.(You can get the AP serial number and MAC from the AP’s status page)
  • Click OK, the system will show that the add is successful.
  • Finally, you can see that the AP is already online.
