Product Information

The MXV Desk Mount Arm is a product that includes Constant ForceTM Technology. It comes with different clamp dimensions depending on the desk thickness:

  • Part Number 98-477: Desk Thickness 12-18 mm (0.47- 0.71)
  • Part Number 98-478: Desk Thickness 18-25 mm (0.71- 0.98)
  • Part Number 98-479: Desk Thickness 25-35 mm (0.98- 1.38)

Note that the product comes with only one clamp dimension, and the other sizes are sold separately.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Tighten the clamp until it is flush with the bottom of the desk.
  2. Use the provided screws to attach the arm to the desk:
    • Use 1x M3 x 6mm screw for one attachment point.
    • Use 4x M4 x 10mm screws for the remaining attachment points.
  3. If the mounted weight is too heavy or the product does not stay up when raised, you need to increase Lift Strength.
  4. If the mounted weight is too light or the product does not stay down when lowered, you need to decrease Lift Strength.
  5. If the product moves too easily, you need to increase friction.
  6. If the product is too difficult to move, you need to decrease friction.
  7. Make sure the mounting surface is strong enough to handle the mounted product and equipment.
  8. Leave enough slack in the cable to allow full range of motion and follow the cable routing instructions to avoid potential cable pinching.
  9. When removing equipment, make sure to move the arm to the highest position to prevent rapid movement and potential injury or equipment damage.

  1. How to replace rotation stop screws (Arms must be straight up)

  2. Your product comes with only one of these clamp dimensions. The other size clamps are sold separately.
    Warning: Failure to match your desk thickness with your clamp specifications will cause an unstable condition and may result in equipment damage and or personal injury.
    Tighten until clamp is flush with bottom of desk.

Important! You will need to adjust this product after installation is complete. Make sure all your equipment is properly installed on the product before attempting adjustments. This product should move smoothly and easily through the full range of motion and stay where you set it. If movements are too easy or difficult or if product does not stay in desired positions, follow the adjustment instructions to create smooth and easy movements. Depending on your product and the adjustment, it may take many turns to notice a difference. Any time equipment is added or removed from this product, resulting in a change in the weight of the mounted load, you should repeat these adjustment steps to ensure safe and optimum operation.

Lift – Up and down

CAUTION: DO NOT overtighten fasteners. Overtightening may cause damage to your equipment.

Warning: Because mounting surface materials can vary widely, it is imperative that you make sure mounting surface is strong enough to handle mounted product and equipment.

Caution: Leave enough slack in cable to allow full range of motion.
To avoid the potential to pinch cables it is important to follow the cable routing instructions in this manual. Failure to follow these instructions may result in equipment damage or personal injury.

WARNING! Stored Energy Hazard: The arm mechanism is under tension and will move up rapidly, on its own, as soon as attached equipment is removed. For this reason, DO NOT remove equipment unless the arm has been moved to the highest position! Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury and/or equipment damage!

CAUTION: DO NOT rotate monitor past rear edge of desk. Doing so will create an unstable situation and may cause equipment damage or personal injury

Weight Capacity:

CAUTION: DO NOT EXCEED MAXIMUM LISTED WEIGHT CAPACITY. SERIOUS INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE MAY OCCUR!

Removing from desk: Remove monitors then put pressure forward while loosening bolt.
