Overview:
The Flowmaster Performance Exhaust System is designed to enhance the performance and sound of your vehicle. It includes an FFX Muffler (70006-570) and a hardware package (PK817) consisting of a 2″ Stainless Band Clamp (MC234BS) and 2 Hanger Keepers (HW502). The installation of this exhaust system will require the removal of the stock exhaust system.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before installing the Flowmaster Performance Exhaust System, read and understand the instructions provided.
- Inventory all parts included in the package. If any parts are missing, report them to the tech line before installing.
- Raise the vehicle up on a hoist or rack to a working height. If a hoist or rack is not available, support the vehicle with jack stands.
- Cut the inlet pipe at the muffler inlet to properly fit the exhaust system. Then cut the exhaust pipe at the muffler exit and remove the muffler from the vehicle.
- Dismount the wire hangers from the isolators and remove the remaining tailpipe from the vehicle.
- Remove nuts from both the stock and Flowmaster clamps. Apply an anti-seize compound to the bolts and re-install the nuts.
- Place the clamp onto the muffler and connect it to the inlet pipe, sealing it 2 inches deep. Tighten the clamp just enough to allow for adjustment.
- Fit the hanger keepers onto each hanger (2 per hanger).
- Recommended: Secure slip-fit connections with a 1-inch tack weld. Spray high-temp paint over each weld to prevent rust and premature corrosion.
- Congratulations! The installation of your Flowmaster Performance Exhaust System is now complete.

NOTE : Please inventory all parts now before continuing and if necessary, report any missing items to our tech line. This will avoid potentially stranding your vehicle until any missing replacement parts arrive.

REMOVE STOCK EXHAUST SYSTEM:
Raise the vehicle up on a hoist or rack to a working height. If you don’t have
access to a hoist or rack, support the vehicle with jack stands.
WARNING:
Avoid serious burns! Allow your vehicle time to cool completely before
touching any factory engine components.
To ease the preparation and installation of your new kit:
- Apply penetrating lubricant to mounts, bolts and clamps before you remove them.
- Use stands as necessary to support parts as you detach them from your vehicle and again as you install new parts.
- Cut inlet pipe at mu ffl er inlet as shown for proper fitment of the exhaust system. Then cut the exhaust pipe at mu ffl er exit and remove muffl er from the vehicle.
- Dismount wire hangers (x3) from isolators and remove the remaining tailpipe from the vehicle.
INSTALL FLOWMASTER EXHAUST SYSTEM

Remove nuts from stock and Flowmaster clamps, apply anti-seize compound to bolts and re-install nuts.
NOTE : The image in this step is intended for illustrative purposes only and may or may not accurately reflect the components included in your kit.

Place clamp (2) onto muffl er (1) then connect it to the inlet pipe, seating it 2″ deep. Tighten the clamp just enough to allow for adjustment.

Fit (x2) hanger keepers (3) onto each hanger.
