Safety information

This manual describes the necessary steps to install the ICX-510. It contains important instructions that must be followed. ICX-510 must be installed by a trained technician in accordance with national and local regulations. Zenitel takes no responsibility for damages caused by improper or inadequate mounting. The ICX-510 is intended for use in restricted access areas for trained service personnel and/or operators, and is not to be installed in locations where children are likely to be present.

Wall/shelf mounting

The ICX-510 can be mounted on any flat surface such as a wall or shelf using the IAMB1 Mounting Bracket. The following example is the procedure for wall mounting.zenitel-ICX-510-Intelligent-Communication-Gateway-

Rack mounting

Network
Connect the ICX-510 to the IP network. Use an Ethernet cable. Connect the cable to Ehernet Port 1.

Power supply
Mount the IPS-AC1 power supply on a DIN rail and terminate the power cables.

Ferrite
Before connecting the cable to the ICX-510, the included Snap On Ferrite (EMKOB99121) must be attached near the end of the cable.

Connect the ICX-510
Connect the power cable to the ICX-510. Then connect the power supply to a 100-240VAC power source.zenitel-ICX-510-Intelligent-Communication-Gateway-

Startup

  1. Power up the IXC-510.
  2. Watch the LEDs. During startup the Power LED and the Fault LED will be lit. When up and running, the green status LED will start flashing.
  3. Connect a laptop to Ethernet port 0. Use an Ethernet cable.zenitel-ICX-510-Intelligent-Communication-Gateway-FIG-12
  4. Connect to web server – Zenitel Connect Pro User Interface. The ICX-510 comes with an embedded web server which provides functions for system configuration, monitoring and upgrade. Open a web browser (e.g. Firefox or Chrome), and log to Zenitel Connect Pro using IP address 169.254.1.5.
  5. Enter the link or scan the QR-code below to go to Zenitel Wiki for configuration instructions.
