Electricity related warnings

  • Do not pull the power cord when pulling the power plug of the refrigerator. Please firmly grasp the plug and pull out it from the socket directly.
  • To ensure safe use, do not damage the power cord or use the power cord when it is damaged or worn.
  • Please use a dedicated power socket and the power socket shall not be shared with other electrical appliances. The power plug should be firmly in contact with the socket or else fires might be caused.
  • Please ensure that the grounding electrode of the power socket is equipped with a reliable grounding line.
  • Please turn off the valve of the leaking gas and then open the doors and windows in case of leakage of gas and other flammable gases. Do not unplug the refrigerator and other electrical appliances considering that spark may cause a fire.
  • Do not use electrical appliances on the top of the appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.

Warnings for using

  • Do not arbitrarily disassemble or reconstruct the refrigerator, nor damage the refrigerant circuit; maintenance of the appliance must be conducted by a specialist
  • Damaged power cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its maintenance department or related professionals in order to avoid danger.
  • The gaps between refrigerator doors and between doors and refrigerator body are small, be noted not to put your hand in these areas to prevent from squeezing the finger. Please be gentle when close the refrigerator door to avoid falling articles.
  • Do not pick foods or containers with wet hands in the freezing chamber when the refrigerator is running, especially metal containers in order to avoid frostbite.
  • Do not allow any child to get into or climb the refrigerator; otherwise, suffocation or falling injury of the child may be caused.
  • Do not place heavy objects on the top of the refrigerator considering that objectives may fall when close or open the door, and accidental injuries might be caused.

Warnings for energy

  1. Refrigerating appliances might not operate consistently (possibility of defrosting of contents or temperature becoming too warm in the frozen food compartment) when sited for an extended period of time below the cold end of the range of temperatures for which the refrigerating appliance is designed.
  2. The fact that effervescent drinks should not be stored in food freezer compartments or cabinets or in low-temperature compartments or cabinets and that some products such as water ice should not be consumed too cold;
  3. The need to not exceed the storage time(s) recommended by the food manufacturers for any kind of food and particularly for commercially quick-frozen food in food-freezer and frozen-food storage compartments or cabinets;

Proper use of refrigerators

Placement

  • Before use, remove all packing materials, including bottom cushions, foam pads, and tapes inside of the refrigerator; tear off the protective film on the doors and the refrigerator body.
  • Keep away from heat and avoid direct sunlight. Do not place the freezer in moist or watery places to prevent rust or reduction of the insulating effect.
  • The refrigerator is placed in a well-ventilated indoor place; the ground shall be flat, and sturdy (rotate left or right to adjust the wheel for leveling if unstable).
  • The top space of the refrigerator shall be greater than 30cm, and The refrigerator should be placed against a wall with a free distance of more than 10 cm to facilitate heat dissipation.

Levelling feet

Precautions before operation:

  • Before the operation of accessories, it shall be ensured that the refrigerator is disconnected from power.
  • Before adjusting the leveling feet, precautions shall be taken to prevent any personal injury.

Adjusting procedures:

  • Turn the feet clockwise to raise the refrigerator;
  • Turn the feet counterclockwise to lower the refrigerator;
  • Adjust the right and left feet based on the procedures above to a horizontal level.

Changing the Light
Any replacement or maintenance of the LED lamps is intended to be made by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person.

Starting

  • Before initial start, keep the refrigerator still for half an hour before connecting it to power supply.
  • Before putting any fresh or frozen foods, the refrigerator shall have run for 2-3 hours, or for above 4 hours in summer when the ambient temperature is high.
  • Spare enough space for convenient opening of the doors and drawers.

Energy saving tips

  • The appliance should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat-producing appliances or heating ducts, and out of direct sunlight.
  • Let hot foods cool to room temperature before placing them in the appliance. Overloading the appliance forces the compressor to run longer. Foods that freeze too slowly may lose quality, or spoil.
  • Be sure to wrap foods properly, and wipe containers dry before placing them in the appliance. This cuts down on frost build-up inside the appliance.
  • The appliance storage bin should not be lined with aluminum foil, wax paper, or paper toweling. Liners interfere with cold air circulation, making the appliance less efficient.
  • Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches. Remove as many items as needed at one time, and close the door as soon as possible.

Refrigerating chamber

  • The Refrigerating Chamber is suitable for storage of a variety of fruits, vegetables, beverages and other food consumed in the short term.
  • Cooking foods shall not be put in the refrigerating chamber until cooled to room temperature. Foods are recommended to be sealed up before putting into the refrigerator.
  • The glass shelves can be adjusted up or down for a reasonable amount of storage space and easy use.

Freezing chamber

  • The low temperature freezing chamber may keep food fresh for a long time and it is mainly used to store frozen foods and making ice.
  • The freezing chamber is suitable for storage of meat, fish, rice balls and other foods not to be consumed in short term.
  • Chunks of meat are preferably to be divided into small pieces for easy access. Please be noted food shall be consumed within the shelf time.
  • The temperature should be set to “super freezing” , when you want to freeze foods quickly.

Note:
Storage of too much food during operation after the initial connection to power may adversely affect the freezing effect of the refrigerator. Foods stored shall not block the air outlet; or otherwise the freezing effect will also be adversely affected.

  16. Display
  * The first time the power was turn on for the refrigerator, the display screen will total display for 3 seconds. Meanwhile the starting up bell rings and then the screen enters the normal display of the operation.
  * The first time for using the refrigerator, the default temperature of refrigerating chamber and freezing chamber is 5° C/-18 °C respectively.
  * When the error occurs, the display shows the error code (see next page); during normal operation, the display shows the set temperature of the refrigerating chamber or freezing chamber.
  * Under normal circumstances, if there is no operation on display panel or door opening action within 30s, then the display shows the lock state , and the display goes out after the lock state continued for 30s.
2. Lock/unlock
  * In the unlocked state, continue to press the lock button for 3 seconds, enter the lock state,
  * The logo lights up and buzzer sounds, it means the display panel is locked, at this time, button operation cannot be implemented;
  * In the locked state, continue to press the lock button for 3 seconds, enter the unlocked state,
  * The logo go out and buzzer sounds, it means the display panel is unlocked, at this time, button operation can be implemented;
3.  **Temperature setting of refrigerating chamber**  

Press temperature adjusting button of the refrigerating chamber REF.TEMP to change the setting temperature of the refrigerating chamber, and then each time a press of temperature adjusting button of the refrigerating chamber, the temperature will be reduced 1 °C; The temperature setting range for the refrigerating chamber is 2-8 °C. When the temperature is 2 °C, press the button again, and the temperature of the refrigerating chamber will be set at 8 °C, and it circulates accordingly.

4.  **Temperature setting of freezing chamber**  

Press the temperature adjusting button of the freezing chamber FRZ.TEMP to change the setting temperature of the freezing chamber and then each time a press of temperature adjusting button of the freezing chamber is, the temperature will be reduced; The temperature setting range for the freezing chamber is-24’t~-16’t). When the temperature is -24’t, press the button again, and the temperature of the freezing chamber will be set at 16’t, and it circulates again and again.

5.  **Mode setting**  

Press the mode button to select a different control mode. Control mode is cycled according to the following regulations:

  1. Super refrigerating super freezing super refrigerating and super freezing vacation VACATION –> none –> super refrigerating .
  2. When the super refrigerating mode is set, the temperature of the refrigerating chamber will automatically set at 2 °C;
  3. Exit super refrigerating mode, temperature of the refrigerating chamber will automatically return back to the temperature set before super refrigerating mode.
  4. When the super freezing mode is set, the temperature of the freezing chamber will automatically set at -24 °C;
  5. Exit super freezing , and the temperature of the freezing chamber will automatically return back to the temperature set before super freezing mode. The time setting of super freezing:
  6. After setting the super-freezing mode, long press the freezing temperature adjusting button FRZ.TEMP for 3 seconds, the display shows “48”, which means that tim~of super freezing has been set at 48 hours. And press the freezing temperature adjusting button FRZ.TEMP, the display shows “6”, which means that the time of super freezing has been set at 6 hours. When the time arrives, it will exit the super refrigerating mode automatically.
  7. After setting the super refrigerating mode, The super refrigerating time setting is 2.5 hours by acquiescence, and the super refrigerating mode will exit automatically when the time arrives.
  8. When vacation mode VACATION is set, the temperature of the freezing chamber will be automatically set at -1 C; the temperature of the refrigerating chamber is turned off, and the icon(OFF) shines.
6.  **Storage upon power failure**  

In case of power failure, the instant working state will be locked and maintained till re-electrification.

7.  **Opening warning and alarm control**  

When the refrigerator doors open, the opening music will play. If the door is not closed in two minutes, the buzzer will sound once every minute until the door is closed. Press any one button to stop the buzzer alarm.

8.  **Fault indication**  

The following warnings appearing on the display indicate corresponding faults of the refrigerator. Maintenance and care of the appliance

Overall cleaning

  • Dusts behind the refrigerator and on the ground shall be timely cleaned to improve the cooling effect and energy saving. The interior of the refrigerator should be cleaned regularly to avoid odor. Soft towels or sponges dipped in water and non-corrosive neutral detergents are suggested for cleaning. The freezer shall be finally cleaned with clean water and a dry cloth. Open the door for natural drying before the power is turned on.
  • Do not use hard brushes, clean steel balls, wire brushes, abrasives, such as toothpaste, organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, banana oil, etc.), boiling water, acid, or alkaline items clean refrigerator considering that this may damage the fridge surface and interior.
  • Do not rinse with water so as not to affect the electrical insulation properties.

Please unplug the refrigerator for defrosting and cleaning.

Cleanlng of door tray

Cleaning steps:

  • in order to conveniently take off the tray, punch the bottom of the right part of the tray for several times and again punch the bottom of the left part of the tray for several times, as shown in the figure;
  • tray can be smoothly taken off after it has been loosened.;

Defrosting
The refrigerator is made based on the air-cooling principle and thus has an automatic defrosting function. Frost formed due to a change of season or temperature may also be manually removed by disconnection the appliance from the power supply or by wiping it with a dry towel.

Out of operation

  • Power failure: In case of power failure, even if it is in summer, foods inside the appliance can be kept for several hours; during the power failure, the times of door opening shall be reduced, and no more fresh food shall be put into the appliance.
  • Long-time nonuse: The appliance shall be unplugged and then cleaned; then the doors are left open to prevent odor.
  • Moving: Before the refrigerator is moved, take all objects inside out, fix the glass partitions, vegetable holder, freezing chamber drawers, etc. with tape, and tighten the leveling feet; close the doors and fix them with tape. During moving, the appliance shall not be laid upside down or horizontally, or be vibrated; the inclination during movement shall be no more than 45°.

The appliance shall run continuously once it is started. Generally, the operation of the appliance shall not be interrupted; otherwise, the service life may be impaired.

WARRANTY

  1. Warranty
    ILVE warrants that each ILVE product will remain, for a period of twenty-four (24) months computed from the date of purchase of the ILVE product, free from defects arising in the manufacture of the ILVE product (“Warranty”). Except for consumer guarantees set out in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)(“Act”), ILVE does not make any further warranties or representations in relation to ILVE products.

  2. What is not Covered by the Warranty?
    The Warranty does not apply if an ILVE product is defective by a factor other than a defect arising in the manufacture of the ILVE product, including but not limited to:

    • damage through misuse (including failure to maintain, service, or use with proper care), neglect, accident, or ordinary wear and tear (including deterioration of parts and accessories and glass breakage);
    • use for the purpose for which the ILVE product was not sold or designed;
    • use or installation which is not in accordance with any specified instructions for use or installation;
    • use or operation after a defect has occurred or been discovered;
    • damage through freight, transportation, or handling in transit (other than when ILVE is responsible);
    • damage through exposure to chemicals, dust, residues, excessive voltage, heat, atmospheric conditions, or other forces or environmental factors outside the control or ILVE;
    • repair, modification, or tampering by the purchaser or any person other than ILVE, an employee of ILVE, or an authorized ILVE service contractor;
    • use of parts, components, or accessories that have not been supplied or specifically approved by ILVE.
    • damage to surface coatings caused by cleaning or maintenance using products not recommended in the ILVE product handbook provided to the purchaser upon purchase of the ILVE product;
    • damage to the base of an electric oven due to items having been placed on the base of the oven cavity or covering the base, such as aluminum foil (this impedes the transfer of heat from the element to the oven cavity and can result in irreparable damage); or
    • damages, dents or other cosmetic imperfections not affecting the performance of the ILVE in respect of an ILVE product purchased as a “factory second” or from display. The Warranty does not extend to light globes used in ILVE products.
  3. Domestic Use
    Each ILVE product is made for domestic use. This Warranty may not extend to ILVE products used for commercial purposes; under those circumstances, the warranty period is limited to 3 months.

  4. Time for Claim under the Warranty
    You must make any claim under this Warranty within twenty-eight (28) days after the occurrence of an event which gives rise to a claim pursuant to the Warranty, by booking a service call on the telephone number below.

  5. Proof of Purchase
    Customers must retain proof of purchase in order to be eligible to make a warranty claim in respect of an ILVE product.

  6. Claiming under the Warranty
    Customers will bear the cost of claiming under this Warranty unless ILVE determines the expenses are reasonable, in which case the customer must claim those expenses by providing written evidence of each expense to ILVE at the address on the Warranty Registration Card.

  7. Statutory Rights

    • These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
    • The limitations on the Warranty set out in this document do not exclude or limit the application of the consumer guarantees set out in the Act or any other equivalent or corresponding legislation in the relevant jurisdiction where to do so would:
    1. contravene the law of the relevant jurisdiction; or
    2. cause any part of the Warranty to be void.
    • ILVE excludes indirect or consequential loss of any kind (including, without limitation, loss of use of the ILVE product) and (other than expressly provided for in these terms and conditions) subject to all terms, conditions, and warranties implied by custom, the general law, the Act or other statute.
    • The liability of ILVE to you for a breach of any express or non-excludable implied term, condition, or warranty is limited at the option of ILVE to:
    1. replacing or repairing the defective part of the ILVE product;
    2. paying the cost of replacing or repairing the defective part of the ILVE product;
    3. replacing the ILVE product; or
    4. paying the cost of replacing the ILVE product.
    • Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
  8. Defects
    Any part of an ILVE product deemed to be defective and replaced by ILVE is the property of ILVE. ILVE reserves the right to inspect and test ILVE products in order to determine the extent of any defect and the validity of a claim under the Warranty.
