Usage Instructions

  1. Verify Channel and Frequency in Use:
    • The channel LED will display the last stored frequency and channel. For example, if the channel is set to 36 with a frequency of 608.750MHz, the LED will sequentially display 60, 87, 50, and 36.
  2. Changing Channel:
    • To change the channel, follow these steps:
    • Press the LEFT button to increase the TENS-digit channel number.
    • Press the RIGHT button to increase the UNIT-digit channel number.
  3. Channel Scanning:
    • To find a clear and interference-free channel, follow these steps:
    • Ensure the transmitter is switched off before scanning.
    • Press and hold either channel button for 3 seconds.
    • The receiver will automatically find and locate a clear channel.
  4. Squelch (SQ) Setting:
    • If interference is encountered, adjust the receiver’s sensitivity by turning the SQ control clockwise. This will make the receiver less susceptible to interference. If the problem persists, reset the squelch back to its original position and use the scan function to find a clear and interference-free channel.
  5. Channel Synchronizing Between Receiver and Transmitter:
    • To synchronize the receiver and transmitter channels, follow these steps:
    • Align the infrared areas of the receiver and transmitter within a distance of 10-30cm.
    • Press the synchronizing button of the transmitter.
    • The transmitter’s LED will indicate the synchronizing signal transmitted.
    • The channel number on the receiver’s LED will become the same as the transmitter’s, indicating successful synchronization.

If synchronization doesn’t work, ensure that the IR sensor panels are aligned, facing each other, and the devices are within a distance of 10-30cm. Then, try again. For further assistance or inquiries, please contact CHIAYO

Verify channel and frequency in use
The channel LED will show last stored frequency and channel. For example, if channel 36 is 608.750MHz, the LED will first display 60,87,50 and 36 in sequence.CHIAYO-SDR-5100-5200M-UHF-2-Way-Sync-Receiver-Module-fig-1

Select a channel that corresponds to the transmitter. When transmitter is turned on, either A or B diversity indicator will light up to indicate that it is connected.

Changing CHANNEL

  1. Press LEFT button to increase the TENS-digit channel number.
  2. Press RIGHT button to increase the UNIT-digit channel number.

CHANNEL scanning

For an interference-free operation, a cleaner channel might be necessary if the current one receives too much interference. Before scanning, the transmitter must be switched off.

  1. Press and hold either channel button for 3 seconds
  2. The receiver will find and locate a clear, interference-free channel.CHIAYO-SDR-5100-5200M-UHF-2-Way-Sync-Receiver-Module-fig-1 \(6\)

SQUELCH (SQ) setting

When interference is encountered try reducing the sensitivity of the receiver by turning the SQ control clockwise, thus less susceptible to interference. If this still does not solve the problem it means this frequency is not suitable. Adjust the squelch back to where it was and use the scan function to locate a clear, interference-free channel.

Channel synchronizing between receiver and transmitter
Align infrared areas of the receiver and transmitter within 10~30cm.

Changing receiver’s channel

  1. Press the synchronizing button of the transmitter.
  2. The transmitter’s LED will grow to denote synchronizing signal transmitted.
  3. The channel number on the receiver’s LED will become the same as the transmitter’s, which means the receiver has been successfully synchronized.

Changing transmitter’s channel

  1. Press the SYNC button of the receiver.
  2. The transmitter’s LED will grow to denote the synchronizing signal received.
  3. The channel number on the transmitter’s LCD will become the same as the receiver’s, which means the transmitter has been successfully synchronized.

If it doesn’t work check that you have the IR sensor panels aligned, that they are facing each other, devices are within 10~30cm of each other, and try again.
