Advisory
- The network cable Cat.5e / Cat.6 UTP has to meet TIA/EIA-568-B.2 standards with copper wires of 24AWG-1/0.49A*4P (CM/UL).
- To achieve best performance and stable functionality, it’s recommended to use standard CHIAYO CAT.5e network cables which are available in 2M, 5M and 10M length. Do not use cables of unknown origin because they will cause unexpected system abnormalities.
- The chairman unit GM-243C can be located anywhere in the loop.
- This conference system may consist of up to 10 units with max two GM-243C chairman units.
- To prevent feedback noise, please adjust the GAIN knob to control the sensitivity of the microphone, and set a proper output volume on the amplifier or mixer before operating the system.
- If it’s necessary to DIY cables, be sure to examine them with RJ-45 cable tester until they are no problem before installation.

The input port can be connected with max 10 GM-243 units.

SCENARIO A
If system includes one or two GM-243C chairman unit, slide the SYSTEM SWITCH
othe convertor to ‘C’ position.
Audio output
¼” PHONE PLUG connector provides unbalanced audio output signal from this jack
to the mixer/amplifier. Use an audio output cable with ¼” PHONE PLUG
connectors. Connect one end from the unbalanced output jack of the receiver,
and the other end to the “LINE IN” or “MIC IN” jack of the mixer/ amplifier.
SCENARIO B
If the system includes no GM-243C chairmanunit, slide the SYSTEM SWITCH of the
convertor to ‘S’ position
Level switch setting
- When connecting to the LINE /AUX IN of a mixer/amplifier, switch to “LINE” position. DO NOT use the “MIC” position as they may not deliver a sufficient high output level.
- When connecting to the “MIC IN” jack of a mixer/amplifier, switch to “MIC” position. verload distortion may occur at the wrong level position.
