Basics of drying hair
- Wash, condition your hair and rinse it well. Use a dry towel to remove excess moisture. Divide your hair into sections. Using the blow dryer in conjunction with a brush, direct hot air through each section of hair. Move the dryer constantly through each section so that the hot air passes through the hair. Direct the airflow directly at the hair, not the scalp.
- Keep the dryer’s air intake vents clear of obstruction and free of hair.
- To avoid excessive drying, do not concentrate heat on any one section for a long period of time. Keep the dryer moving.
- For quick styling, dampen hair with a little water before blow-drying.
- When blow-drying to create curls and waves, dry hair almost completely on the warmest setting, then finish styling on the lowest setting. This will set the style in your hair.
- This dryer includes a concentrator attachment. Use the concentrator when you need to concentrate blow-drying on a small area (like a curl or wave) or when you want to relax curly hair.
