INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Turning the scale on and off
Attention
Before turning on the appliance for the first time, open the battery cover on the underside of the scale and remove the insulation strip that provides protection to the battery during transport.
- This scale has a function ”Auto-on” that automatically turns on the scale. To start the scale, use your hand to push down on the weighing platform or place the weighed item on it. Note: We recommend starting the scale by pushing down on the weighing platform with your hand. The scale will only start automatically when a sufficiently heavy item is placed on it (usually approx. 0.5 kg). If you start the scale by placing an item on the weighing platform, the weight of 0 will be shown. This option is thus particularly suitable when you need to place a bowl in which the ingredients will be weighed on to the scale prior to weighing the actual ingredients.
- Turn the scale off by pressing the ”TARE / OFF” button.
Frequently Asked Questions
How precise should a kitchen scale be?
0.1g is usually more than accurate, especially if you’re using it in the kitchen, as most recipes only call for 0.1g measurements.
How do weight sensors work in electronic kitchen scales?
The internal strain gauge of an object deforms due to weight when it is placed on a digital scale. This degree of deformation is converted to an electrical signal by the scale, which then passes the signal through a digital converter to display the weight.
How are kitchen scales maintained?
Wipe down the scale and pan with a moist cloth to clean it. Additionally, you might apply soap to the towel before wiping it down with a fresh one. In order to remove dirt, grease, and debris from a washdown safe bench scale, you can either pour water over it or use a hose.
Why isn’t my kitchen scale precise?
Your machine may start to provide erroneous and inconsistent readings if it isn’t receiving the electricity it requires to function. Make sure the batteries are connected completely and are producing adequate power by checking them. A fresh set of batteries can also be tested to determine if they offer your digital scale the boost it need.
With a kitchen scale, what can be measured?
With the aid of a kitchen scale, you may measure dry, liquid, or chopped components for extremely accurate recipes by weight rather than volume. The capacity, accuracy, display, size, platform, and units of measurement of various kitchen scales vary.
Which sensor is employed by a digital scale?
Weight-cell sensor A resistive bridge-type load-cell pressure sensor is used by the weigh scale. The pressure applied to the sensor immediately relates to the voltage output.
How does a digital balance function?
A tool used to determine weight or mass is a digital electronic weighing scale. A load cell with a strain gauge is how it operates. Analog scales use springs to indicate an object’s weight, whereas digital scales translate an object’s weight force into an electric signal.
Can a digital kitchen scale be kept on its side?
A digital kitchen scale shouldn’t be kept on its side. Any scale that can accurately measure grammes should be kept flat. The digital scale’s internal components are constructed of sensitive materials that, if improperly stored, could bend and deform.
What is the capacity of a scale?
The highest weight that may be placed on a scale is typically 300 pounds for ordinary scales. However, for persons who weigh more than 250 pounds, older models typically have worse accuracy. Some scales are designed expressly for those who are larger.
Why won’t my digital scale function?
Issues with the display and functionality of digital scales are frequently caused by batteries. Remove the batteries by carefully opening the battery compartment. Clear the compartment of any dust or other objects that could obstruct the battery connection using a small, clean paintbrush or cotton swab.
