Rotate the encoder or press the key again to set the parameter value. Finally, press the encoder button/key again to save the value or setting.
  2. Setting Parameter Values:

    • When a selected item requires a value modification, a dialog box (Figure 4) will appear.

    • To quickly modify the value, slide the slider to the desired position or click the “up” or “down” button on the right side.
Alternatively, use the rotary encoder on the right side of the panel.

    • Once the value has been modified, press the “apply” button in the bottom left corner to apply it to the light. Note that this does not save the value.

    • To save the modified value, click on the “OK” button in the lower right corner at any time.

  3. Boolean Parameter Setting:

    • If the selected parameter is a Boolean value (e.g., ON or OFF), you can directly modify the setting by clicking on the corresponding item. The setting will be saved immediately.
    • If the parameter is a key item, clicking on the corresponding item will prompt a confirmation dialog (Figure 5). Click “sure” to confirm.
  4. Sub Menu Parameter:

This section provides additional settings for specific parameters. Please refer to the user manual for detailed instructions.

  1. Fixture Operating Mode Setting:
    • This section allows you to set the operating mode of the fixture. The available options are:
    • DMX Ctrl: Receive DMX signal and RDM signal.
    • Auto Run: The fixture runs automatically according to built-in programs.
    • Sound Ctrl: When the fixture detects a strong sound, it automatically runs a scene according to the built-in program. Otherwise, it stays in the last scene.
    • Scene Mode 01: Runs a set scene, which supports custom editing of up to 10 scenes. Outputs the specified scene from 1 to 10.
    • M/S Choose Master and slave selection. In non-DMX mode, select the mode of data output. The fixture detects the DMX cable state and automatically switches output to prevent data conflicts.
    • Lamp Switch: Choose the lamp switch operating mode. Auto mode automatically loops the output scene in the set scene time (non-zero) order, while scenes with time 0 are automatically ignored.
  2. Master/Slave Mode:
    • In non-DMX mode, the fixture can operate as either a master or a slave.
    • Master Mode: The fixture runs the built-in program and outputs data (synchronization) if the DMX signal is absent.
    • Slave Mode: The fixture runs the built-in program but does not output data.
    • Auto Mode: If the DMX signal is absent, the fixture runs the built-in program. Otherwise, it follows the DMX signal.

  • RDM is an extended version of the DMX512-A protocol. It is a remote device management protocol.
  • Traditional DMX512 protocol communication is one-way communication.
  • The protocol is based on the RS-485 bus.
  • RS-485 is a time-sharing multi-point, half-duplex protocol. Only one port is allowed to output at the same time. So, when using RDM, we should pay attention to it Figure 3 Panel Diagram
