Thank you for buying a PHILCO brand product. So that your appliance serves you
well, please read all the instructions in this user’s manual.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Recommendation
Carefully read these instructions before installing and operating this microwave oven. Write down the serial number found on the rating label of the oven in the space below. It is essential that you store this user’s manual in a safe place so that you can use it in the future. If you intend to Nsell the appliance, give it to another owner, or if you move, always make sure that the user’s manual is attached to the appliance so that the new owner can find out about the operation of the appliance and the relevant warnings.
SERIAL NUMBER
- Under no circumstances should you start the microwave oven with the door open as you could expose yourself to the effects of dangerous microwave energy radiation. It is important that you do not damage or modify the safety locks on the microwave oven door.
- Do not block the front part of the microwave oven and the door with any object and make sure that dirt or remains of detergent do not accumulate on the oven seals.
- Do not use the microwave oven if it is damaged. It is especially important that the door is properly shut and also inspect the following for damage:
- door (that it is not bent);
- door hinges and locks (damaged or loose);
- door seals and other seals.
The microwave oven may only be adjusted or repaired by an authorized service technician.
Important safety instructions
Adhere to all basic safety measures when using electrical appliances, including the following.
WARNING: Adhere to the directives below to avoid the dangers of burns, injury by electrical shock, fi re hazards, injuries, or explosions caused by large amounts of microwave energy.
- This appliance may not be used by any persons (including children) with mental disabilities, weak strength, or by inexperienced persons, unless they have been properly trained or schooled in the safe use of the product, or unless they are properly supervised by a qualified person who is responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
WARNING: To limit the risk of a fire hazard, electric shock, injury or exposure to excessive amounts of microwave energy:
- Before using this appliance read all the instructions.
- Only use the appliance for the purposes for which it was designed and in the manner described in this user’s manual. This oven isM designed only to heat, cook or dry food. It is not designed for industrial or laboratory purposes. Do not use caustic chemicals on this appliance.
- Do not attempt to use the microwave oven with the door open. You could expose yourself to the effect of microwaves. Do not run the microwave oven when it is empty.
- Do not use this oven if the power cord or power plug is damaged, if it is not working correctly, if it is damaged or if it has been dropped on the floor. Any repair of the microwave oven or replacement of \ a damaged power cord may only be carried out by an authorized service center or another similarly qualified person, as this will prevent causing a dangerous situation.
- If the door or the door seal is damaged then the oven must not be used until repaired by an authorized service center or qualified person.
- It is dangerous for anybody other than an authorized service center or qualified person to carry out any repairs or maintenance whatsoever that leads to the removal of any cover providing protection from microwave energy radiation.
- The use of the oven by unsupervised children is only permitted when sufficient instructions were given so that the child is able to use the oven in a safe manner and understands the danger resulting from incorrect use.
- To limit the risk of a fire hazard inside the oven, use only kitchen dishes suitable for use in microwave ovens. When heating meal in plastic or paper dishes, regularly check the oven to prevent it from catching on fi re.
- If you notice smoke, turn off the appliance and disconnect the power plug from the socket. Leave the oven door closed to prevent a potential fire from spreading.
- If you are not using the oven do not leave paper materials, kitchen dishes or food inside.
- Liquids or other meals must not be heated in closed containers, because they could explode.
- The heating of beverages in the microwave may cause a delayed boil and so you should be careful when handling containers and dishes.
- Do not fry food in the microwave oven. Hot oil may damage parts of the oven, and dishes or may also cause skin burns.
- Eggs in their shells and whole hard-boiled eggs must not be heated in the microwave oven because they could explode.
- Before cooking prick food with a thick peel, such as potatoes, pumpkins, apples, and chestnuts.
- The content of baby bottles and baby food needs to be mixed or shaken before being served to the infant and the temperature needs to be checked to prevent burns.
- Kitchen dishes may become hot as a result of the heat transferred from the heated food. Sometimes it may be necessary to use protective gloves.
- IMPORTANT: kitchen dishes and utensils, which must not be used in the microwave oven:
- metal pans and crockery with metal handles or with metal decorations;
- clamps on plastic bags;
- dishes with melamine surface treatment;
- standard thermometers, which are used for measuring the temperature of meat etc.
- The rear surface of the appliance shall be placed against a wall.
- The microwave oven shall not be placed in a cabinet unless it has been tested in a cabinet.
- The microwave oven is intended for heating food and beverages.
- Drying food or clothing and heating of warming pads, slippers, sponges, damp cloth and similar may lead to the risk of injury, ignition, or fire.
Radio wave interference
The use of the oven may cause interference to radio, television or similar receivers. If interference occurs, it may be limited by the following measures:
- keeping the door and the surface of the oven seals clean;
- redirecting the radio or television signal reception antenna;
- moving the microwave oven further away from the receiver;
- connecting the microwave oven to a different power socket so that the microwave oven and the receiver do not share the same circuit.
Grounding instructions
This microwave oven must be grounded. The microwave oven is equipped with a power cord, which has a ground wire with a grounding power plug. The power plug must be connected to a mains socket outlet that is correctly installed and grounded. This reduces the risk of injury by an electric shock if a short circuit occurs – in such a case the electric current goes through the earthing wire. We recommend that the microwave oven be connected to an independent electrical circuit. The use of high voltage is dangerous and may lead to a fire or Another accident that can damage the microwave oven.
WARNING: An incorrectly grounded power socket may present a danger of electric shock.
NOTE
- If you are uncertain about the grounding of your main power socket, contact an authorized service center or a qualified electrician.
- Neither the manufacturer nor the vendor is responsible for damages to property and health if the microwave oven is connected incorrectly and not in accordance with the presented recommendations.
PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY
- Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open since this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to break or tamper with the safety interlocks.
- Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
- WARNING: If the door or door seals are damaged, the oven must not be operated until it has been repaired by a competent person.
NOTE: If the apparatus is not maintained in a good state of cleanliness, its surface could be degraded and aff etc the lifespan of the apparatus and lead to a dangerous situation.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Remove the oven and all materials from the carton and oven cavity. Your oven comes with the following accessories:

INSTALLATION
Turntable Installation
- Never place the glass tray upside down. The glass tray should never be restricted.
- Both glass tray and turntable ring assembly must always be used during cooking.
- All food and containers of food are always placed on the glass tray for cooking.
- If the glass tray or turntable ring assembly cracks or breaks, contact your nearest authorized service center.
Countertop Installation
- Remove all packing material and accessories. Examine the oven for any damage such as dents or broken doors. Do not install if the oven is damaged.
- Cabinet: Remove any protective film found on the microwave oven cabinet surface. Do not remove the light brown Mica cover that is attached to the oven cavity to protect the magnetron.
- Select a level surface that provides enough open space for the intake and/or outlet vents.
- The minimum installation height is 85cm.
- The rear surface of the appliance shall be placed against a wall. Leave a minimum clearance of 30cm above the oven, a minimum clearance of 20cm is required between the oven and any adjacent walls.
- Do not remove the legs from the bottom of the oven.
- Blocking the intake and/or outlet openings can damage the oven.
- Place the oven as far away from radios and TV as possible.
The operation of a microwave oven may cause interference to your radio or TV reception.
- Plug your oven into a standard household outlet. Be sure the voltage and the frequency is the same as the voltage and the frequency on the rating label.
WARNING: Do not install an oven over a range cooktop or other heat- producing appliance. If installed near or over a heat source, the oven could be damaged and the warranty would be void.
The accessible surface may be hot during operation.
THE BASICS OF COOKING IN A MICROWAVE OVEN
CAUTION: Personal Injury Hazard It is hazardous for anyone other than a competent person to carry out any service or repair operation that involves the removal of a cover that gives protection against exposure to microwave energy.
See the instructions on “Materials you can use in microwave oven or to be avoided in a microwave oven.” There may be certain non-metallic utensils that are not safe to use for microwaving. If in doubt, you can test the utensil in question following the procedure below.
Utensil Test
- Fill a microwave-safe container with 1 cup of cold water (250ml) along with the utensil in question.
- Cook on maximum power for 1 minute.
- Carefully feel the utensil. If the empty utensil is warm, do not use it for microwave cooking.
- Do not exceed 1 minute of cooking time.
Materials you can use in a microwave oven
Utensils | Remarks |

Aluminum | foil Shielding only. Small smooth pieces can be used to cover thin |
parts of meat or poultry to prevent overcooking. Arcing can occur if foil is
too close to oven walls. The foil should be at least 1 inch (2.5cm) away from
oven walls.
Browning dish| Follow manufacturer’s instructions. The bottom of browning dish
must be at least 3/16 inch (5mm) above the turntable. Incorrect usage may
cause the turntable
to break.
Dinnerware| Microwave-safe only. Follow manufacturer’s instructions. Do not
use cracked or chipped dishes.
Glass jars| Always remove lid. Use only to heat food until just warm. Most
glass jars are not heat resistant and may break.
Glassware| Heat-resistant oven glassware only. Make sure there is no metallic
trim. Do not use cracked or chipped dishes.
Oven cooking bags| Follow manufacturer’s instructions. Do not close with metal
tie. Make slits to allow steam to escape.
Paper plates and cups| Use for short–term cooking/warming only. Do not leave
oven unattended while cooking.
Paper towels| Use to cover food for reheating and absorbing fat. Use with
supervision for a short-term cooking only.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MICROWAVE OVEN
When the microwave oven is electrified, the oven will display “WELCOME”. The buzzer will ring once. If there is no operation in 1 minute, the oven will turn to the clock. If there is no operation in 5 minutes, the oven will enter a Mturn-off state.
Clock Setting

- Press “ ”, LED will display “Microwave”.
- Turn “ ” to right until the LED displays “Clock”.
- Press “ ”, LED will display “00:00”. The hour figures will flash.
- Turn “ ” to adjust the hour figures, the input time should be within 0–23.
- Press “ ” to confirm.
- Turn “ ” to adjust the minute figures, the input time should be within 0–59.
- Press “ ” to finish the clock setting. “:” will flash.
NOTE
- If the clock is not set, the clock would not function when powered.
- During the process of clock setting, if no operation in 1 minute, the oven will go back to the previous status automatically.
Kitchen Timer
- Press” ”, LED will display “Microwave”.
- Turn “ ” to the right until the LED displays “KITCHEN TIMER”.
- Press “ ”, LED will display “KT 00:00”.
- Turn “ ” to enter the timer time. The time setting should be 0:05-95:00.
- Press “ ” to confirm the setting.
- When the timer time arrives, LED will display the current time.
Note: The kitchen time is different from the 24-hour system. The kitchen Timer is a timer.
Microwave Cooking
- Press “ ”, LED will display “Microwave”.
- Press “ ”, LED will display “M P100”.
- Turn “ ” to choose the different power levels “P100”, “P80”, “P50”, “P30”, and “P10”.
- Press “ ”, LED will display “M 00:00”.
- Turn “ ” to enter the cooking time. The time setting should be 0:05-95:00.
- Press “ ” to start cooking. When cooking finishes, LED will display “END”.

Grill Cooking
- Press “ ”, LED will display “Microwave”.
- Turn “ ” to the right until the LED displays “Grill”.
- Press “ ”, LED will display “G 00:00”.
- Turn “ ” to enter the cooking time. The time setting should be 0:05-95:00.
- Press “ ” to start cooking. When cooking finishes, LED will display “END”.
NOTE: If half the grill time passes, the oven sounds twice, and this is normal. In order to have a better effect of grilling food, you should turn the food over, close the door, and then press “ ” to continue cooking. If no operation, it will continue working.
Combination Cooking
- Press “ ”, LED will display “Microwave”.
- Turn “ ” to right until the LED displays “Combi”.
- Press “ ”, LED will display “C1 M55”.
- Turn “ ” to choose C1(55%microwave+45%grill) or C2 (36%microwave+64%grill). LED will display “C1 M55” or “C2 M36”.
- Press “ ” to choose the combination cooking, LED will display “C1 00:00” or “C2 00:00”
- Turn “ ” to enter the cooking time. The time setting should be 0:05-95:00.
- Press “ ” to start cooking. When cooking finishes, LED will display “END”.
Speedy Cooking
- In waiting for the state, press the “ ” key to cook with 100% power level for 30 seconds. Each press on the same key can increase by 30 seconds. The maximum cooking time is 95 minutes.
- During the microwave, grill and combination cooking and time defrost process, press “ ” to increase the cooking time.
- In waiting for state, turn “ ” left to choose the cooking time directly. After choosing the time, press “ ” to start cooking. The microwave power is 100%.
NOTE: Under the states of the auto menu and weight defrost, cooking time cannot be increased by pressing “ ”.
Weight Defrost
- Press “ ”, LED will display “Microwave”.
- Turn “ ” to right until the LED displays “WEIGHT DEFROST”.
- Press “ ”, LED will display “WD” in the first two digits.
- Turn “ ” to enter the cooking weight. The weight setting should be 100-2000 g.
- Press “ ” to start cooking. When cooking finishes, LED will display “END”.
Time Defrost
- Press “ ”, LED will display “Microwave”.
- Turn “ ” to right until the LED displays “TIME DEFROST”.
- Press “ ”, LED will display “TD 00:00”.
- Turn “ ” to enter the cooking time. The time setting should be 0:05-95:00.
- Press “ ” to start cooking. When cooking finishes, LED will display “END”.
NOTE: The power level is P30, and it cannot be changed.
Multi-Stage Cooking
- Two stages can be maximumly set. If one stage is defrosting, it should be put in the first stage. The buzzer will ring once after each stage and the next stage will begin.
NOTE: The auto menu cannot be set as one of the multi-stage.
Inquiring Function
- In the cooking states of microwave, grill, and combination cooking, press “ ” to check the current power will be displayed for 2-3 seconds.
Lock-out Function for Children
- Lock: In the waiting state, press for 3 seconds, and there will be a long “beep” denoting entering the children’s lock state. The screen will display the current time if the clock has been set. Otherwise, the screen will display “0:00”.
- Lock quitting: In a locked state, press for 3 seconds, there will be a long “beep” denoting that the lock is released.
Auto Menu
- In waiting for the state, turn “ ” right to choose the auto menu function.
- Press “ ” to confirm the menu you choose;
- Turn “ ” to choose the food weight;
- Press “ ” to start cooking. When cooking finishes, LED will display “END”.

Specification
- The buzzer will sound once when turning the knob at the beginning;
- “ ” must be pressed to continue cooking if the door is opened during cooking;
- Once the cooking program has been set, “ ” is not pressed in 1 minute. The current time will be displayed. The setting will be canceled.
- The buzzer sounds once by Efficient press, inefficient press will be no response.
- The buzzer will sound five times to remind you when cooking is finished.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Be sure to unplug the appliance from the power supply.
- Clean the cavity of the oven after using it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Clean the accessories in the usual way in soapy water.
- The door frame and seal and neighboring parts must be cleaned carefully with a damp cloth when they are dirty.
- Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass since they can scratch the surface, which may result in the shattering of the glass.
- Cleaning Tip—For easier cleaning of the cavity walls that the food cooked can touch: Place half a lemon in a bowl, add 300ml (1/2 pint) water, and heat on 100% microwave power for 10 minutes. Wipe the oven clean using a soft, dry cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Normal
Microwave oven interfering with TV reception| Radio and TV reception may interfere when the microwave oven operating. It is similar to the interference of small electrical appliances, like mixers, vacuum cleaners, and electric fans.
It is normal.
Dim oven light| In low-power microwave cooking, the oven light may become dim.
It is normal.
Steam accumulating on the door, hot air out of vents| In cooking, steam may
come out of food. Most will get out from vents. But some may accumulate on
cool places like oven doors. It is normal.
The oven started accidentally with no food in it.| It is forbidden to run the
unit without any food inside. It is very dangerous.
