  • The furnace requires a high-velocity filter with dimensions of 20 X 25 inches and a thickness of 1 inch. The vent outlet diameter is 2 inches round, and the inlet air diameter is also 2 inches round.
  • The furnace is made of 409 stainless steel for the fired components and 29-4C stainless steel for the unfired components. It has orifices for both natural gas and propane gas. The main orifices for natural gas are 5 with a drill size of 45, and for propane gas, the main orifices are also 5 with a drill size of 56.
  • The furnace is equipped with a redundant two-stage gas valve and a 120 V SiNi igniter. It has 5 inshot burners and requires a power connection of 120 volts, 1 phase, and 60 Hz. The ampacity is 13.9/13.3 amps, and the maximum overcurrent protection is 15 amps. The pipe connection size is 1/2 inch.
  • The dimensions of the furnace when uncrated are 34 inches in height, 21 inches in width, and 28-3/4 inches in depth. When crated for shipping, the dimensions are 35-1/2 inches in height, 23 inches in width, and 30-7/8 inches in depth. The shipping weight is 155 lbs, and the net weight is 145 lbs.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the furnace is installed in a downflow configuration.
  2. Connect the power supply to the furnace following the specified wiring specifications.
  3. Install the high-velocity filter with dimensions of 20 X 25 inches and a thickness of 1 inch.
  4. Connect the vent outlet using a 2-inch round duct.
  5. Connect the inlet air using a 2-inch round duct.
  6. If using natural gas, ensure that the main orifices are drilled to a size of 45. If using propane gas, ensure that the main orifices are drilled to a size of 56.
  7. Connect the gas valve and the SiNi igniter according to the specified wiring specifications.
  8. Ensure that the furnace is properly grounded and that all electrical connections are secure.
  9. Connect the pipe with a size of 1/2 inch for gas supply.
  10. Place the furnace in the desired location, ensuring proper clearances for safe operation.
  11. Refer to the heating airflow tables for appropriate settings and target airflow based on the desired temperature rise and external static pressure.
  12. Monitor the furnace during operation and ensure that it is functioning properly.

General Features

  • NATURAL GAS MODELS
Central Heating furnace designs are certified by the American Gas Association for both natural and L.P. gas. Limit setting and rating data were established and approved under standard rating conditions using American National Standards Institute standards.

  • SAFE OPERATION
The Integrated System Control is a solid-state device that continuously monitors for the presence of flame when the system is in the heating mode of operation. A dual solenoid combination gas valve and regulator provide additional safety.

  • QUICK HEATING
Durable, cycle tested, heavy gauge tubular stainless steel primary heat exchanger quickly transfers heat to provide warm conditioned air to the structure. Low energy power vent blower, to increase efficiency and provide a positive discharge of gas fumes to the outside.

  • BURNERS
Multiport Inshot burners will give years of quiet and efficient service. All models can be converted to L.P. gas with an LP conversion kit.

  • INTEGRATED SYSTEM CONTROL
An exclusively designed operational program provides total control of furnace limit sensors, blowers, gas valves, and flame control and includes self- diagnostics for ease of service. Also contains dry contacts for EAC and HUM.

  • ENERGY-EFFICIENT OPERATION
Furnace is certified by the manufacturer to leak 1.4% or less of nominal air conditioning CFM delivered when pressurized to a .5″ water column with all inlets, outlets, and drains sealed.

  • AIR DELIVERY
The variable-speed blower motor has sufficient airflow for most heating and cooling requirements and will switch from heating to cooling speeds on demand from the room thermostat.

  • SECONDARY HEAT EXCHANGER
The furnace has a special type 29-4C™ stainless steel secondary heat exchanger to reclaim heat from flue gases which would normally be lost.

  • STYLING
Heavy gauge steel and “wrap-around” cabinet construction are used for strength. Every orientation has at least two venting options. There are no knockouts on the cabinet.

  • FEATURES AND GENERAL OPERATION
The furnace utilizes a Silicon Nitride Hot Surface Ignition system, which eliminates the waste of a constant burning pilot. The integrated system control lights the main burners upon demand for heat from the room thermostat. Complete front service access.

    • Low-energy power venter
    • Vent proving pressure switches.

Features and Benefits

  • 96.0% AFUE ACROSS ALL MODELS

    • Meets utility rebates
    • Lowers utility bills
  • ELECTRICALLY EFFICIENT
Efficient airflow design reduces electrical energy use

  • 34 INCH TALL

    • Lighter, easier to move, and fit into tight spaces like short basements or tight closets
    • Works great with larger, high-efficiency coils
    • No knockouts
  • 3–WAY MULTI-POISE / DEDICATED DOWNFLOW

    • 6 SKU’s —Upflow / Horizontal Left / Horizontal Right
    • 5 SKU’s —Downflow
    • Added application flexibility and reduction in specification errors
  • AIRFLOW
At least 400 CFM/ton at 0.5 in. H20 external static pressure; set airflow options down to 290 CFM/ton

  • REGULATORY

    • All models are air-tight; 1.4% or less air leakage as per ASHRAE 193
    • Open vestibule design provides a full 34” high open vestibule
  • DIMENSIONS

    • Width is industry standard: 21”
    • Depth remains approximately 28”
    • The cabinet will be compatible with industry-standard coils, as well as, other accessories
  • INTEGRATED FURNACE CONTROL

    • Setup/Status/Diagnostics/Digital Display
    • No dip switches
    • The last six errors stored
    • Dry contact EAC and HUM connections
    • All Molex connections; no spade terminals
    • Low voltage labeled above and below
    • Rain shield over IFC keeps condensate off the control
  • TUBULAR STAINLESS STEEL PRIMARY HEAT EXCHANGER
29–4C STAINLESS STEEL SECONDARY HEAT EXCHANGER

    • Stainless steel is a more durable, corrosive-resistant material than aluminized steel
    • Integrated rail system for easy access if required
    • Reduces or eliminates the need for baffles
  • VARIABLE SPEED BLOWER MOTOR

    • Increased efficiency
    • Improved home comfort
  • THREE–WAY MULTI-POISE (UPFLOW, HORIZONTAL LEFT AND RIGHT) PLUS DEDICATED DOWNFLOW

    • Easier to specify
    • Shipped ready to install (no kits required)
    • Every model has at least two venting options
    • When horizontally, the trap extends only about 2”
    • Barbed fitting on the trap at the hose connection and on the cabinet transition for the hose has barbed fitting and clamps at both ends for leak resistance.
    • Vent table improvements including longer vent lengths; 2” pipe can be used up to 100K
