SWANDOO CHARLIE Seat Fabric Cover
Product Information
The Fabric Cover is designed for the Swandoo Charlie child seat. It is suitable for children with a height of 100 cm (~3 years) to 150 cm (~12 years). The cover is machine washable and can be cleaned using a fine wash/delicate program. Mild detergents are recommended for cleaning, and it should not be dry cleaned, bleached, or tumble dried. The fabric cover is compatible with the integrated harness system and can be easily replaced.
Installation Steps:
- Detach the pressure buttons on both sides of the headrest cover and remove the fabric from the headrest by lifting it up from the edges. Ensure that the two small loops behind the cover beneath the headrest are detached first.
- Open the fabrics on the back of the child seat.
- To prevent the cover from slipping forwards, detach it from the hooks by pinching the cover at each side of the seating area andpulling towards the center of the seat.
- Lift the whole cover up from the edges, paying attention to the area around the Side Impact Buddy socket. The blue plastic socket does not need to be removed.
- To install a new cover or reinstall an existing one, use the fabric installation tool found behind the headrest (unless removed prior to washing). Tuck the fabric edge into the right position around the edges of the seat.
- Ensure that the cover is reinstalled in the same way as before by following the previous steps in reverse order.
Washing & Care
Before first use, please wash the fabric cover. It is machine washable on a
fine wash/delicate program, but hand washing is recommended. Use mild
detergents and avoid dry cleaning, bleaching, or tumble drying. Keep the cover
away from direct heat, dogs, and cats. Do not use bleach, abrasive,
upholstery, or aggressive cleaning agents. For removing wrinkles, use a
steamer or the steam function of an iron. Take caution not to touch any
plastic parts of the seat with the iron during steaming.
Please wash before first use!
Machine washable:
Fine wash/Delicate programme.
Hand wash recommended.
Use mild detergents. Do not dry clean, bleach or tumble dry. Keep away from
your dog, your cat and direct heat. Do not use bleach, abrasive, upholstery or
aggressive cleaning agents.
Clean the plastic parts and the integrated harness system with a mild
detergent and warm water. Do not use lubricants.
- Washing this fabric cover will not wash away your sins.
Wrinkles?
Remove any wrinkles from the fabric cover with a steamer. If you don’t have
one available, try the steam function of your iron instead. While steaming, be
sure not to touch any plastic parts of the seat with the iron. Please be
careful with hot steam! Keep it far from your body, your cat, your dog,
mother-in-law, house plants… etc. You get the point 🙂

INSTALLATION STEPS
REPLACING YOUR FABRIC COVER
- Detach the pressure buttons on both sides of the headrest cover and remove the fabric from the headrest by simply lifting it up from the edges. There are two small loops behind the cover beneath the headrest, holding it in place – make sure to detach these first.
- Open the fabrics on the back of the child seat.
- To prevent the cover from slipping forwards whilst in use, there are two small loops beneath the cover holding it in place in the seating area. Ensure the cover is detached from the hooks by pinching the cover at each side of the seating area and pulling towards the centre of the seat prior to removing the fabric completely.
- Loosen the whole cover by lifting it up from the edges. Pay particular attention to the area around the Side Impact Buddy socket – the blue plastic socket does not have to be removed.
- To install the new cover or reinstall an existing one, first grab the fabric installation tool. Unless removed prior to washing the cover, you’ll find the fabric installation tool behind the headrest. Tuck the fabric edge into the right position around the edges of the seat. Ensure the cover is reinstalled the same way they previously were. You can follow the previous steps in reverse order to make sure everything is in place.
