4. Product characteristics

  • The plant lamp supports plant growth when daylight is scarce, over winter or during germination. It can be used on pot plants, succulents, ornamental plants, fruit and vegetables.
  • Make sure that the distance between the LED module and the plant is at least 5 cm.
  • Plants should be cut back, harvested or regrouped if they grow too close to the light source.
  • The plant centre provides the necessary lighting as a component for healthy plant growth. In order to maintain the health of the plants, other components such as humidity, temperature and nutrients are essential.
  • Depending on the plant type, the recommended Lux value (distance between the lamp and plant) and the illumination period in hours may differ. Inform yourself about your plants sufficiently to avoid loss of plants.
  • The product is designed for indoor use. The plant light is operated via mains voltage.
  • The use of the light should only be carried out as described in these instructions. Any other use is considered improper and may result in damage to property or personal injury.
  • The plant light is intended exclusively for private use and is not suitable for commercial use. The item is not a toy and must always be kept out of the reach of children.

6. Operation

Warning

  • Only operate the product from an approved socket that is connected to the public power supply. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be easily accessible.
  • Disconnect the product from the power supply using the On/Off switch if this is not available, unplug the power cord from the socket.
  • If using a multi-socket power strip, make sure that the total power consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the socket strip’s maximum throughput rating.
  • If you will not be using the product for a prolonged period, disconnect it from mains power.
  • Connect the power cable to a properly installed and easily accessible mains socket.
  • The LED module can be switched on via the cord switch.
  • The electronic control simulates a day/night cycle: the LED automatically stays on for 16 hours and then off for 8 hours. Due to the wide light beam, the entire interior area is evenly illuminated. If the plants require a different day/night cycle, the light control can also be simulated via an additional timer.
  • If, for example, your plant only needs 10 hours of daylight instead of 16, the on and off times (day/night cycle) can be programmed with the help of an external timer.

7. Care and maintenance

Note Disconnect the device from the mains before cleaning and during prolonged periods of non-use.

  • Only clean this product using a lint-free, slightly damp cloth and do not use any harsh cleaners.
  • Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.

8. Warranty disclaimer

Hama GmbH & Co KG assumes no liability and provides no warranty for damage resulting from improper installation/ mounting, improper use of the product or from failure to observe the operating instructions and / or safety notes.

9. Technical data

PPF: Photosynthetic active photon flux measures the amount of photons within the PAR spectrum (400-700nm) per second. Only light in this spectral range is essential for photosynthesis. The measured value indicates the efficiency of a plant lamp, not the amount of photons.

· PPFD: the photosynthetic photon flux density indicates the amount of photons arriving on the surface of the plants (per second). This depends on the distance to the light source.
