IRIG-B ANALYZER
QUICK START GUIDE
POWERING THE DEVICE: BATTERY SET-UP
The IRIG-B Analyzer is powered by two AA batteries (not included). To power up the IRIG-B Analyzer, you must first insert the batteries as follows:
- Remove the rubber protector.
- Slide the battery housing lid off, located on the underside of the Analyzer.
- Insert the two AA batteries with the polarity of the batteries as shown in Figure 1.
QUICK FIBER SET-UP
- Remove the plug at the top of the IRIG-B Analyzer as shown in Figure 2.
- Plug in the SC to ST Fiber adapter (if required).
- Connect the Fiber transmit signal to the IRIG-B Analyzer.
- IRIG-B Analyzer will automatically detect if an IRIG-B signal is present.
- When a signal is detected, the screen will display the signal properties (this can take several seconds).
QUICK COPPER SET-UP
- Connect the red and black test probes to the red and black inputs located at the top of the Analyzer as shown in Figure 2.
- Hold the probes to the exposed signal with red to positive. Make sure that a firm contact is made.
- Maintain contact while the IRIG-B Analyzer searches for a signal (this can take several seconds).
- When a signal is detected, the screen will display the signal properties and inform you if the signal has the incorrect polarity.
DISPLAY INFORMATION

When an IRIG-B signal is detected, the screen will display signal properties as shown in Figure 3.

The properties include:
• IRIG-B type
• IRIG-B date
• IRIG-B time
• IRIG-B extensions -
