Important Notice

Thank you for purchasing AGPTEK Music Player, please read this user manual carefully before use.

About Power On

  1. When you receive the product, if long pressing the button does not work, it’s recommended to charge it first before power on.
  2. In order to save power and protect environment, the player has added a power button lock function. When you receive the player, the button is in the Sequence Play position you need to switch the button down to the Shuffle Play position and then long press the button to power on.

Charge the Player

  • Charge by the USB port of computer.
  • Use 5V/500mA charger (Charger not included).

Connect to the PC & Download audio files

  1. Open the Windows Explorer or “This PC”.
  2. Using the USB cable, connect the player to a USB port on your PC.
  3. Open the new “AGP-A51PL” folder under “This PC”.
  4. Copy files to the “AGP-A51PL” in which you want them to play.
  5. In the left sidebar, right-click the “AGP-A51 PL” folder and select “Eject” from the menu.
  6. Wait until the computer confirms a safe ejection before you unplug the USB cable.

Note : Please do not disconnect the USB plug during file transferring. It may cause malfunction of the player and the files.

Basic Operation

  1. Power On/Off Steps
    a. When you receive the product, the switch is in the Sequence Play position (Button 10), and slide the switch 8 to the Shuffle Play position  (Button 11), and then long press to power on.

    Step 2: Slide the switch to the Shuffle Play position.
    Step 3: Long press the Play/Pause button to power on.

  2. Play/Pause Button
    a. Short press to play or pause.

  3. Music Mode
    a. Button :
    Short press to switch to the previous song.
    Long press to rewind the song.
    Double-click to switch to the previous folder.
    b. Button :
    Short press to switch to the next song.
    Long press to fast forward the song.
    Double-click to switch to the next folder.

  4. FM Radio Mode
    a. Button / FM :
    Short press for FM radio mode.
    Long press for automatic channel search function.
    b. Button :
    Short press to switch to the previous station.
    c. Button : Short press to switch to the next station.

  5. Button Lock : After double-clicking the button to lock, you cannot perform any button function operations (except volume +/-).

Music

  1. Music Playback
    a. Long press for 2s to turn on the player and the music will play automatically; short press to pause or play music.
    b. While playing music, short press 1 to the previous next track; long press /or rewind/fast forward.
    c. Press the volume +/- button to adjust the volume.

  2. Folder Switching: Double-click to switch to the previous/next folder.

  3. Play Mode
    a. Sequence Play: Push up to switch to sequence play.
    b. Shuffle Play: Push down to switch to shuffle play.
    c. Repeat Single: Long press /Fm tto enter single repeat mode.
    Note : Sequence playback is played according to the time sequence of folder transmission.

FM Radio

  1. FM Radio
    a. While playing music, short press /FM to switch to FM radio mode;
    b. Under FM radio mode, long press . / FM to automatically search for radio channels again.

  2. Auto Search:
    After switching to FM radio mode, the device will automatically search for radio stations. At this time, there will be a current sound in the earphones. After searching all radio stations, it will automatically play the first radio station with a signal found.

  3. Manual Search: After the auto search is completed, if you want to enter the manual search mode, you can:
    a. Short press to the previous/next radio station with signal.
    b. Double-click to manually search for the previous radio frequency band, and reduce by 100KHz.
    c. Double-click to manually search for the next radio frequency band, and increase by 100KHz.

Bluetooth

  1. Bluetooth Mode:
    While playing music, first turn on the Bluetooth device that you need to pair, and then short press to switch to Bluetooth mode.
    a. If there is no pairing records, it will automatically enter the pairing mode (red and blue lights flash alternatively quickly), search for pairable Bluetooth devices and automatically connect.
    b. If there is a pairing record (red and blue lights flash alternatively slowly), it will reconnect the last connected Bluetooth device.
    c. If you want to pair a new Bluetooth device, then under Bluetooth mode, press and hold a /*In to enter pairing mode, and search for pairable Bluetooth devices again.
    Note : You need to turn on the new Bluetooth device that needs to be paired in advance, and then search for pairing.

  2. The Bluetooth device is connected:
    After connecting to the device, it will automatically switch back to the Bluetooth music playback mode (shows solid blue light).

  3. The Bluetooth device is not connected:
    When the device is not connected, short press the Bluetooth button to return to the music playback mode.
    Note: When pairing, the volume of the device is based on the volume of the Bluetooth device itself.

FAQ

Can't turn on the player: The player cannot be powered on, crashes, freezes or has a firmware error.

1. Power off the player and try again. 2. Press and hold the power button for more than lOs to reset. 3. Update the firmware. Please contact our customer service or check our website at http://www.agptek.com/blog to download the firmware.

Can't download files from computer.

1. Please confirm whether it's connected properly. 2. Please check whether the storage space of the internal memory is full. 3. Please check whether the USB cable is damaged.

Can't recognize the player when connected to the computer via USB cable.

1. Reconnect it. 2. Restart the computer and reconnect it. 3. Connect your player to another USB port. 4. Charge the player for about 10 minutes first.

How to play the music of the music player on car audio?

1. It's recommended to use a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to transmit audio. 2. The USB cable that comes with the music player only has the function of charging and transmission, without audio function. 3. It's not recommended to connect the car audio via Bluetooth, there will be an incompatibility.

MP3 cannot search for Bluetooth devices.

1. It is necessary to check whether the MP3 Bluetooth and the device Bluetooth are turned on, and then search for pairing. 2. Check whether the Bluetooth device is in pairing state, if so, please disconnect it first, and then re-search for pairing. 3. Check whether the Bluetooth version of the Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth speaker is above 2.1. If it cannot be found, it may be incompatible.

Frequent disconnection and reconnection after successful Bluetooth connection.

1. First of all, please confirm the use environment of the music player. If it is used in close proximity to other 2.4G signal sources or under obstacles, such as indoor wall penetration, signal base stations, routers, high-speed rail, subway, etc., it will be interfered by the signal and thus cause disconnection, and you can try it in an open place. 2. If the direct distance between the music player and Bluetooth device exceeds 8-10m, or the distance from the back to the obstacle exceeds 4-5m, the connection will be disconnected. Please use the Bluetooth function within the Bluetooth range of the product.

Notes On Battery Charging

  1. Please use the PC USB port or a 5V/1 A power adapter to charge the device.
    Note:
    A. When using the PC USB port to charge, the current output capability of the USB port of different PCs is different and the charging time will be slightly different. It is recommended that when using the PC USB port to charge, try to power off the device to speed up the charging.
    B. The charger and the MP3 player will heat up to a certain extent during charging, which is a normal phenomenon.

  2. New battery needs to go through several charging and discharging processes to achieve the best performance.

  3. Under nomial circumstances, the player can be fully charged in about 3h. It is recommended to pull out from the USB port after charging, and do not connect to the power supply for a long time.

  4. The battery of this device is a polymer lithium battery, which can be recharged and used.

  5. The polymer lithium battery must be replaced by a professional, and the user must not replace it by himself (Note: If the battery is replaced improperly, there will be a danger of explosion, and it can only be replaced with the same type or equivalent type of battery); in order to protect the environment, please hand over the waste batteries to a professional organization for recycling.

  6. The lifespan of the battery may vary with the conditions of use and production time.

  7. The battery should not be exposed to sunlight, fire or similar overheating environment.

Tips for Hearing Conservation

  1. It is recommended to turn down the volume of the device before using the earphones, and gradually increase until it is suitable when you start to listen.
  2. In order to protect hearing, please do not turn up the volume too high (doctors pointed out that listening at high volume for a long time will damage the listener’s hearing).
  3. When tinnitus occurs, please lower the volume or stop using it.

Caution

  1. Before formatting the device, it is recommended to back up the personal data stored in it in time.
  2. Ensure that the product is placed safely to avoid accidents and drops caused by children touching.
  3. Do not overvoltage, strain the power cord, bend it or be squeezed by heavy objects, so as not to cause overheating or fire.
  4. Please keep the product away from the electromagnetic environment; keep away from excessive humidity, smoke and dust and other harsh environments.
  5. Do not immerse the device in water; do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaners to clean it.
  6. Do not expose the product to moisture or rain, it may cause the device to malfunction or even be difficult to repair due to the penetration of water and moisture.
