BEFORE YOU START

  • Verify that your router broadcasts Wi-Fi at 2.4GHz.
  • If you have a dual-band router, make sure that the two Wi-Fi networks have different names (SSIDs).
  • Place your device near your router to ensure proper connection.
  • Verify that your mobile device’s data are disabled.
  • It is necessary to forget any other network and make sure the Android or iOS device is connected to the same wireless network.
  • Be certain that the Android or IOS platforms operate correctly and connect to your selected Wireless network automatically.

Precautions
Applicable systems:

  • Requires Android 4.4 or later.
  • Requires iOS 9.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Notice

  • Keep your APP updated with the latest version.
  • It is possible that some Android and IOS devices may not be compatible with this APP. Our company will not be held responsible for any issues resulting from the incompatibility.

Cautions

  • You might experience a short delay between the screen and the display, this is normal.
  • To use the QR code option, the cam of your smartphone or tablet should be 5MP or above.
  • Under certain network connections, it is possible the pairing could time out with no connection, if this occurs please perform network configuration once again.
  • For improvement purposes, this APP may be updated without any prior notice. The actual configuration process may be slightly different from the one mentioned in this manual.

  • Select “App account” to send the Invitation.
  • Insert the invitee’s nickname, their account’s region, and registered email and assign them a role (administrator or member).
  • Select “Save” to send the invitation.
  • Notice: You can only invite members with the same Account Region Member Roles – Administrator / Member
  • Common members can operate the paired devices and their Smart Scenarios.
  • Administrators can additionally edit the devices and scenarios, as well as create new ones or delete them

Select Account and Security. Here you can:

  • Bind your mobile phone number to your account
  • Bind your email address with your account
  • Verify your region
  • Change your login password (the new verification code is required)
  • Set a pattern lock as additional security
  • Delete the account (requires one week to take effect you can cancel the request by logging again in with your account)

CONNECTING YOUR AIR CONDITIONER

Add Manually with AP Mode

Step 1: Select “Add Device” or the “+” icon on the top right.
Step 2: Select “Add Manually” on the top bar, then in the left side menu, select Air Conditioner and the model name.
Step 3: Select your WiFi and input your password.inventor-PR2VI32

Step 4: Press the “LED” button on the remote controller of the air conditioner 7 times in 10 seconds to enter the pairing mode. Verify the pairing indication “AP” appears on the display and press “Next”.
Step 5: Press “Go to Connect” to enter your device’s WiFi Network.
Step 6: From your mobile device settings, connect to the air conditioner’s network “SmartLife-XXXX”. Return to the app and press “Next”.

Step 8 : When the pairing is completed if you wish, you may rename your device. Press “Done” when ready. You are all set. Reminder: The process should be completed within 3 minutes. If it is not, please repeat the process.

From the starting page of Inventor Control, press the “Quick Actions” of the paired air conditioner to expand or hide the Quick Actions. Through Quick Actions, you can directly change the following settings:

  • Power (On/Off)
  • Temperature Set (17-30°C)
  • Mode (Auto, Cooling, Heating, Dry, Fan)
  • Fan Speed (Low, Mid, High, Auto, Turbo)
  • Auto Louver Swing (On/Off)

Device Control
Tap on the photo of your air conditioner. Power (when “On”, louver is open)

SMART SCENARIOS

You can automatically operate your device through the Smart Scenarios based on your home conditions, weather forecast, or your daily schedule, and create the ideal conditions. The Smart Scenarios can be either manually activated (Tap- to-Run) or automated (Automation). Adding a new Smart Scenario To create a new scenario, select the “+” icon on the top right corner of the “Smart Scenario”.

Selecting the activation Condition

Tap-to-Run: Select “Tap-to-Run” to set a manual activation condition. When weather changes: Select “When weather changes” to set an automated activation condition according to weather changes. Time Schedule: Select “Time Schedule” to set an automated activation condition for the repeated weekly timer. When device status changes: Select “When device status changes” to set an automated activation condition according to the function of the device changes.

Tap-to-Run
After selecting the “Tap-to-Run” option, select the device you want to set. After selecting the device, you can select the settings Do you want the unit to take effect?

When weather changes

After selecting the “When the weather changes” option, select the required weather conditions.
Note: All values are taken from either the corresponding Google or IOS Maps and weather requires the Home location to be set

  • Temperature: When area temperature is lower than, equal or higher than the selected value
  • Humidity: When area humidity is Dry (<40%), Comfortable (40%<area<70%) or Moist (>70%).
  • Weather: When area weather condition changes to Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy, Snowy, or Hazy.
  • PM2.5: When the area PM2.5 value changes to Excellent, Good, or Polluted.
  • Air Quality: When area Air Quality value changes to Excellent, Good, or Polluted.
  • Sunset/Sunrise: According to time (up to 5 hours before or after) Sunset or Sunrise for the area.

After selecting the condition, select your device. You can then select the settings you want for the unit to take effect

Time Schedule

After selecting the “Time Schedule” option, you can set a weekly timer for specific settings of the unit. Select the Time of activation by rotating the sliders and pressing the “Repeat”. In the Repeat option you can select the days that  Do you want the setting to repeat or deactivate them all for a non- repeating time schedule. After selecting the device, you can select the settings you want for the unit to take effect. When device status changes After selecting the “When device status changes” option, select the unit that you want to have as a condition. Select the function of the unit so that when it is changed, the Smart Scenario will take effect. After selecting the function condition, you can select the Task you want to take effect

Selecting the activated Tasks

Run the device: Select a specific setting or settings of a paired Unit. Select Smart Scenario: Select a specific Smart Scenario to activate or deactivate. Send notification: Select to send a notification in the Inventor Control’s Notification center to all members of the house, notifying them that the Smart Scenario has been activated.
Note: The Send notification Task is not available for the Tap-to-Run Scenarios. Time Delay: Select to introduce a time delay from conditions reached to activation of the next task. After setting the required delay, an additional task will be required.

Overview of Smart Scenario

Before saving your Smart Scenario, Inventor Control gives you an overview of the selected Conditions and Tasks. You can also add, remove, or change the Conditions and Tasks, name to your Smart Scenario, as well as select its color and icon. Press “Save” to save your Smart Scenario.

Activating/Deactivating Automated Smart Scenarios
When saving a new Automated Smart Scenario, you can select if the Scenario will be activated or deactivated. Activated Scenarios will take effect when set conditions are met, while deactivated scenarios will not affect the unit operations.
You can change the activated or deactivated status of saved Automated Smart Scenarios from the “Smart Scenarios” page by using the slider of each saved scenario. Adding your Manual Smart Scenario to the “My Appliances” pa

ge When saving a new Manual “Tap-to-Run” Smart Scenario, you can select if the Scenario will be included as a shortcut in the “My Home” page. Scenarios added to the Home Screen will also be available to activate from the “My Home” page. Run the device: Select a specific setting or settings of a paired Unit. Select Smart Scenario: Select a specific Smart Scenario to activate or deactivate.
