Product Information

The DNA Evolved is a pen that features an eyedropper mechanism for ink filling. It consists of several parts:

• A – Cap
• B – Nib Unit
• C – Section
• D – Barrel
• E – Ring
• F – End Cap
• O-Rings – Located at various parts of the pen
• Tubing – Part of the Eyedropper mechanism
• Bulb – Part of the Eyedropper mechanism

It is important to keep the exterior parts of the pen dry to avoid damage. Avoid exposing the pen to UV light as well. Do not let any ink dry inside the pen.

Product Usage Instructions

To fill the pen with ink using the eyedropper mechanism, follow these steps:

1. Unscrew the cap by twisting it counterclockwise.
2. Unscrew the section by twisting it clockwise.
3. Squeeze the bulb of the eyedropper to expel any air, then dip the tip of the eyedropper in ink. Release the bulb to draw the ink up into the eyedropper.
4. With the tip of the eyedropper in the barrel, squeeze the bulb to deposit the ink inside.
5. Repeat steps three and four until the ink level reaches before the threads.
6. Screw the section back in by twisting it counterclockwise.

To wash the pen, follow these steps

1. Unscrew the cap by twisting it counterclockwise.
2. Unscrew the section by twisting it clockwise.
3. Unscrew the end cap by twisting it counterclockwise. Note: Hold the ring as it may fall out.
4. Rinse the barrel by running water down one end of it.
5. Screw the end cap back in by twisting it clockwise.
6. Screw the section back in by twisting it counterclockwise.

Parts of the Pen

General Care

Keep the exterior parts of the pen dry to avoid damage. Keep the pen away from an ambient temperature greater than 40 °C or 104 °F. Avoid UV exposure. Do not let any ink dry inside the pen.

Inking Instructions

1. Unscrew the cap by twisting it counterclockwise.
2. Unscrew the section by twisting it clockwise.
3. Squeeze the bulb of the eyedropper before dipping it in ink. With the tip of the eyedropper submerged, release the bulb to draw the ink up.
4. With the tip of the eyedropper in the barrel, squeeze the bulb of the eyedropper to deposit the ink inside.
5. Repeat steps three and four until the ink level reaches before the threads.
6. Screw the section back in by twisting it counterclockwise

Washing Instructions

1. Unscrew the cap by twisting it counterclockwise.

2. Unscrew the section by twisting it clockwise.

3. Unscrew the end cap by twisting it counterclockwise.
   Note: hold the ring as it will fall out.

4. Rinse the barrel by running water down one end of it.

5. Screw the end cap back by twisting it lockwise.

6. Screw the section back in by twisting it counterclockwise.
