Introduction
The Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle Solution comprises of three applications;
Honeywell Versatilis Insights, Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle and Honeywell
Versatilis Configurator. This guide explains the Honeywell Versatilis Insights
and Lifecycle applications. For more information on the Honeywell Versatilis
Configurator, see the User guide.
The Honeywell Versatilis Insights and Lifecycle applications allow you to
verify, update and access documentation on all your Site and Enterprise
instrumentation assets. The Honeywell Versatilis Insights application allows
users to view enterprise and site-wide summaries of your assets and action
insights to enhance operations. The Honeywell Lifecycle application allows you
to provide real-time updates and capture logs of your instrumentation assets
while
working in the field.
Getting started
To access the Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle Solution, contact Honeywell technical assistance team through the online intake form.
2.1 Sign in
To sign in into the Honeywell Versatilis Insights:
Navigate to the Honeywell Versatilis Insights Login page.
Note: Contact the administrator to assign permissions to access the Honeywell Versatilis Insights for the respective site.
Honeywell’s Identity Authentication Service:
a. If a company has been set up as an ID provider, use existing company
credentials to sign in.
b. If the company has not been set up as an ID provider, select “Create an account” on the Honeywell Forge Sign In page.
To access the mobile-compatible application, log into the Lifecycle
application on a mobile using the
provided Honeywell Versatilis Insights credentials.
Follow the onboarding instructions in the app to save the application to the
mobile home screen.
Honeywell provides a facility for users to raise support requests. For support on login or access issues, contact: versatilis-support@honeywell.com.
Check the status of the site’s instruments
On the Honeywell Versatilis Insights dashboard, users can view the instrument location, warranty details, and other important attributes about the site instruments.
Users can filter the list of the instruments through the Instruments tab and
by selecting a value on the graph.
To learn about the site’s yearly savings, review the savings calculator. To
customize the calculations, select the icon and update the values per the
needs.
Instrument overview
For more key details related to an instrument:

Navigate to the Instruments tab to retrieve a list of all instruments available at the site, which is accessible through Honeywell Versatilis Insights and Lifecycle application.

Use search bar to filter the instrument with Tag ID and click enter.

To search for instruments with similar attributes (instruments of a certain manufacturer), use the Filters available in the Instrument tab to refine the table results.

Use the tab at the top of the page in the Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle application to refine the results.

Select the instrument from the list to see all instrument details, related documentation, and all Logbook entries.

Photos and notes can be captured manually, and Configuration files can be uploaded automatically from the Honeywell Versatilis Configurator.

To view all Logbook entries, in the Honeywell Versatilis Insights and Lifecycle application, click Logbook and select the book from the list to view log entries. Note: If a Logbook entry is no longer relevant, use Archived to hide from the list of active entries. An archived entry can be restored by accessing the entry and selecting restore.
Documentation of an instrument:
To view specific documentation of an instrument in Honeywell Versatilis
Insights and Lifecycle application, select Documentation at the bottom of the
instrument details.
To add documentation for this specific instrument through Honeywell Versatilis Insights, click upload or drag and drop the file(s) into the file upload space below the document table.
Configure an instrument
To configure an instrument from the Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle
application, ensure the following is completed for a seamless configuration.
Prerequisites:
a. Use an Android or Windows device to access the Lifecycle application.
b. Ensure the latest version of Honeywell Versatilis Configurator is installed
on the device.
c. Authenticate the device with the Honeywell Versatilis Configurator through
the settings page in the Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle application.
Follow the below procedure to configure an instrument:
- Connect the instrument to the configurator modem.
- Use search option to filter the instrument by Tag ID. Select the instrument from the list and click configure the instrument.
- Upon successful configuration, the file will be available in the Instrument’s Logbook in Honeywell Versatilis Insights and Lifecycle application.
Note: This feature will be included in the next release.
Document Management
For document management in Honeywell Versatili Insights:
- Navigate to the Document Management in Honeywell Versatilis Insights and Lifecycle application to find the documentation related to an instrument model.
- Use the search bar to filter by Document title, or select Show All to display all the available documents in the Site. For easy access, sort the results by column header.
- To add documentation for a specific instrument through Honeywell Versatilis Insights, select Upload or drag and drop the file(s) into the file upload space below the document table.
- Once the document(s) is successfully uploaded, ensure to enter the Document Type, Manufacturer, and Model Type, and then click Save. The document is available in Honeywell Versatilis Insights and Lifecycle application.
- To view a document, select the Open In Browser icon or Download icon.
To modify or delete a document from the repository:
- Select the document from the list and click Edit in the table header to modify the attributes.
- Select the document from the list and click Delete.
Note: Deleting an instrument from Document Management will delete any document instance under an instrument’s details.
Manage user permissions
A user with administrator privileges can manage other users’ permissions and
navigate to the User Management tab in the left-hand pane in Honeywell
Versatilis Insights. If you do not have access to this tab, you do not have
administrator permissions for this site.
Select the Add button at the bottom of the user list to add a new user. Enter
the user’s email and assign the permissions. The remaining licenses will be
displayed in the blue badge beside each site name.
To edit a user’s permissions, select their email from the user list, and edit
their permissions.
To delete a user, select the garbage can icon on the top right of the Edit
User screen.
Site management
Users with administrator privileges can manage sites and areas of their
enterprise.
Navigate to the Site Management tab in the left-hand navigation pane of
Honeywell Versatilis Insights. If you do not have access to this tab, you do
not have administrator permissions for this site.
Administrator permissions are required to access the site management.
To add a new area to a site, select the site from the site list. On the bottom
left-hand side, select Add Area. Enter the area name, area location (either
latitude and longitude or other identifier), and select save to complete.
To edit or delete an area:
a. Select the icon to update the area’s location to edit an area.
b. Select the icon to delete an area.
Note: A store cannot be deleted from the management.
There are two ways to upload site instrument data into Honeywell Versatilis:
- In bulk
- Individually
9.1 Upload an instrument individually
In Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle application, navigate to Site Instruments and select Add in the bottom left-hand corner. Complete all mandatory fields, and select Save at the bottom of the page.
You will now be able to find this instrument in the Instruments tab in Honeywell Versatilis Insights and Lifecycle application.
9.2 Upload multiple instruments
To upload multiple instruments in Honeywell Versatilis Insights in a single
instance:

Navigate to Instrument Upload and download the template.

Fill the template, ensuring all data is complete and clean.

Upload the template by selecting Attach Excel File on the instrument upload page.
For support with the process, email : versatilis- support@honeywell.com.
Select the site to upload the instruments and click Scan File. -
Each row from the Instrument Upload template is displayed in a staging table with details containing new, updated warnings and errors about the instrument’s data. Click Confirm to complete the import.
Note: Inspect every warning and error before confirming the import.
Once the import is confirmed, you will be able to find all newly added instruments in the Instruments tab in Honeywell Versatilis Insights and Lifecycle application.
Order a new instrument
To order a new Honeywell instrument through the Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle application:
- Navigate to the main menu and select Order Instruments.
- Follow the AVT step-by-step instructions to order the specific instrument that meets the requirements.
Authenticate the device with the Honeywell Versatilis Configurator
To configure an instrument from Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle application:

Navigate to the Settings page in the Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle application and select Device Management.
The device must be authenticated by the Honeywell Versatilis Configurator, which is listed in device management with This Device. -
If the device is not listed, click Add on the bottom right hand of the screen. Enter the name for the device, and click Generate Client ID.

Copy the Security Key provided on the screen to the device clipboard, and click Go To The Configurator.

In the Honeywell Versatilis Configurator app, paste the security key and click Save.
The device is now authenticated, return to the Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle application. A device needs to be authenticated with the Configurator once, and is user agnostic.
Change sites
For users with access to multiple sites, switching between sites is easy.
- Navigate to the User Profile section and select Change next to the site name in the Honeywell Versatilis Insights and Lifecycle application.
Switch to the Dark Mode
To switch to the dark mode:
- In the main menu, enable the toggle button of the Dark Mode to turn the screen to dark theme that helps to use Honeywell Versatilis Lifecycle application in dimly lit areas.
Below screen shows the dark mode screens.
Sign Out
To sign out from the Honeywell Verstailis Insights and Lifecycle application:
- In the main menu of Honeywell Versatilis Insights and Lifecycle application, select the option to Sign Out.
