Assembly
- Assemble and install the product following the instructions.
- Do not install the product without having perfectly understood these instructions.
- Make sure that the attachment systems are fully secure.
- Repeat this check regularly.
Loading and transport
- The driver of the vehicle is responsible for ensuring that the product is securely attached and that it is working correctly.
- Check the maximum load authorized for the product in the instructions, in the manufacturer’s manual, and in the vehicle manual.
- Never exceed the maximum authorized load, which is the lowest indicated.
- The load applied to the vehicle is the total weight of the roduct, its accessories, and what it is holding.
- before driving, make sure that the load is securely attached.
- After a few kilometers, check that all of the attachment systems are still properly secured.
- Re-tighten and secure if needed.
- Check these points after each stop on your journey before setting off again.
- The load should be evenly distributed on the bike carrier, and its center of gravity should be as low as possible and as close as possible to the hitching ball.
- Loads overshooting the ends of the bike rack should meet the indications set out by the applicable regulations.
- When transporting bikes, all removable parts such as saddle bags and kids’ seats, etc. should be removed before setting off.
- Bicycles must be properly secured using appropriate straps or similar tightening and closing devices

- The behavior of a vehicle is affected by the fitting of a rear bike rack system, particularly when it’s loaded.
- Driving should be adapted to take these changes into account.
- It is advisable to reduce speed, especially when cornering, and to take into account the increase in braking distances.
- Take care not to exceed the maximum speed limit authorized in your country or the maximum speed indicated in the assembly guide.
- The vehicle’s registration plate and indicator lights must be visible, check that the loading doesn’t conceal them.
- If needed, add a replica registration plate and indicator lights to the back of your bike rack.
- It is advisable to remove the rear bike rack system after use.
- Do not use spare parts for another product without having first consulted your Decathlon store.
- The product is exclusively designed for tow hooks compliant with the ISO 1103 standard and ECE-R-55 regulation.
- As each bike has its own geometry, it’s up to you to check the compatibility of your bike with the bike rack.
- For kids’ bikes, compatibility isn’t guaranteed.
Caution : Before installing the product on the coupling ball, carefully remove any dirt or grease that may be on the latter.
Maintenance
- It’s important to keep the product clean and in good condition and to regularly rinse it.
- Any parts which are damaged or deformed should be replaced immediately.
- Store the product in a safe and dry place when not in use.
