Decathlon CBH 900 Visor and Rear Lighting

Read these instructions carefully before you first use the product and keep them throughout its life.

PRE-CAUTION

How do vou adjust vour helmet ?
Try the different sizes of helmets available and select the one that best matches the circumference of your head. Refer to the size indicated inside the helmet. For maximum protection, the helmet must be adjusted to the user’s head and buckled correctly, by the instructions given in this manual.

Adjusting the size of the helmet:
Open the adjusting device at the back, put the helmet on your head, and close the device again, adjusting it as you do so. To check whether the helmet fits correctly, shake your head slightly. The helmet must not move.

Cross-strap buckles :
Adjust the cross buckles so that the straps form a “Y” under your earlobe, without covering it.

Closing

  • The strap must sit under your jaw, against your throat.
  • The buckle must not rest on your jaw. The straps must be correctly fastened : neither too tightly nor too loosely.
  • They are correctly fastened when your forehead is not uncovered when you tip your head backward, and when your field of vision is not impaired when you nod your head forwards. Please note: you must not be able to remove the helmet when the buckles are fastened. It is equipped with a retention system so that it does not come

Precautions

  • Helmet for pedal cyclists, skateboarders, or roller skaters.
  • A helmet protects only if it fits correctly. Buyers should try several sizes and choose the one that fits the best and is the most comfortable.
  • Warning: This helmet should not be used by children while climbing or doing other activities when there is a risk of strangulation/hanging if the child gets trapped with the helmet.
  • A helmet reduces the risk of injury to the head but does not prevent serious or even deadly injury. It cannot guarantee protection against all types of knocks.
  • A damaged helmet will have fulfilled its protective role. Dispose of and destroy helmets that have sustained a serious knock. We advise you to replace your helmet 5 years after the date of manufacture (which is found on the label in the helmet). Contact your local recycling center to find out more about the disposal instructions.
  • Use the Decathlon spare parts, decorations, or accessories that are adapted to this type of helmet. Never do a  DIY fix on the original parts of your helmet.
  • If a reflective system is present on the helmet, it is a visibility aid. It cannot be used as a substitute for local requirements, laws, and standards for lighting arrangements on a bicycle.

Only use this helmet when cycling, roller skating, skateboarding, or using a scooter. It is not designed for other sports which require different specific features. It is not designed for motorcycling or other motorsports.

Do not apply paint, detergent, or other chemical products.  Do not expose your helmet to temperatures above 50°C  (122°F) (such as in a hot car).

Clean only with water. Do not use detergent.
