SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • This product isn’t a kiteboarding product. This product allows you to take on certain concepts that can be used for kiteboarding. Kitesurfing is an extreme sport that can expose the user to serious hazards. Be aware that waves, currents and other users can all pose a hazard to the user. Some accidents can result in serious injury and even death. For your safety, we recommend that you observe the follokite safety rules
  • This product does not protect against drowning. Reserved for swimmers!
  • Wear suitable safety devices for being rescued at sea when kitesurfing. Use a buoyancy aid and helmet designed for kitesurfing.
  • Consult your doctor to check that you are healthy enough to practise wakeboarding.
  • Do not use your product without connecting your arm to the central line, which allows you to land the kite by making it lose most of its power by putting this line under tension.
  • Body dragging and kiteboarding is prohibited in swimming areas and, more generally, in areas reserved for other activities, as well as in nature reserves.
  • Before getting in the water, find out about the kitesurfing conditions from the local lifeguards, from other kitesurfers who are familiar with the location and using all other available means (e.g internet). Do not kitesurf alone
  • Make sure that you’ve mastered body dragging, and re- taking off with your kite in the water. Don’t overestimate the sea winds.
  • Do not practise if there is a danger, in bad visibility, in stormy weather or if there is an offshore wind, which could push you offshore.
  • Do not practise kitesurfing or body dragging in gusty winds or when the wind speed is too high.
  • Adapt your equipment to the weather conditions (wind and temperatures).
  • Pay attention to what’s going on around you, watch out for people on the beach, look out for boats, other watersport users and swimmers. Always keep a safe distance from them.
  • Always weigh down your wake kite with sand, pebbles or other objects when it is not in use so that is does not take off accidentally.
  • Do not launch vour wake kite if there are obstacles (buildings, houses, posts, etc.) or people within a radius twice the length of your lines.
  • Warn those around you that you are launching your kite so that they pay attention to their own safety as well as yours.
  • Do not go exceed your own your abilities and skills. Be honest with yourself.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

  • To avoid premature wear, do not leave your product exposed to the sun or waving about in the wind before and after your sesSIon.
  • Before storing your product in its bag, rinse it with fresh water, remove any debris (e.g: sand, pebbles, grass, seaweed) and leave it to dry in a dark dry place.
  • Do not leave your product in direct sunlight, in the boot of your car or in extreme heat for prolonged periods. Pay particular attention when folding the kite and winding the liens around the bar.

PRODUCT COMPATIBILITY

  • The bar supplied is compatible with the kite provided. Do not use another kite with the bar supplied, or another bar with the kite supplied.
  • As the length of the lines is specific to the use of this product, changing the length of a line may lead to malfunctions with the product, unexpected take-off or dangerous use, or to incorrect functioning of the third line.

SAFETY WARNING!

This wake kite has been designed for a «flagging out» wait position on the ground with the central line when the bar is released. This flagging out makes the wake kite lose most of its power.
It’s essential, so that the central line runs smoothly in the middle of the bar, ensuring that there are no obstructions to the line. Do not use other types of release systems (e.g. on one or both front lines) with this product. Effectively, the kite won’t position correctly in flagging and won’t lose its power, which may result in serious or even fatal injuries.
WARNING
Take care, as the kite can generate a lot of power and traction. We do not recommend using it in high winds.
For information purposes, a user weighing 75 kg shouldn’t use the kite in wind conditions of more than 15 knots / 27.8 km/h.
