Introduction

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to force the plug into an improper outlet. For U.S. residents only: In the event of an unusual circumstance such as immersion, the protective device will not allow the dryer to operate. Periodically check the safety plug to verify it is in proper working order. Plug the appliance in an electrical outlet and press the test button. The dryer should stop immediately. To resume operation, press the reset button.

STARTUP

  • For faster results, towel dry hair to remove excess water, then run a comb through damp hair to detangle for best results.

  • Plug the appliance into an electrical outlet

  • To turn unit on, place fingers around the temperature control dial and rotate counterclockwise to the desired setting. Adjust the switch to the selected setting.

  • Use the LOW setting on fine or thin hair and the HIGH setting on thick and coarse hair. Use the COOL setting to lock in the style.

  • Start styling. Separate hair into manageable sections

FOR VOLUMINOUS BLOWOUTS

  • Use the One-Step Round Brush attachment, place the dryer close to the roots and brush down toward the ends. The nylon bristles with Refresh3™ activated charcoal gently grip hair to smooth and promote shine.
  • For extra lift at the roots, hold the dryer for 2 to 3 seconds under the roots.
  • To curl ends IN, place the dryer UNDER the ends and hold or 2 to 3 seconds before rotating inward. To curl ends OUT, place the dryer OVER the ends and hold for 2 to 3 seconds before rotating outward.
  • When drying is complete, use the cool function to set the style.
  • Wait for the dryer to cool before removing the attachments and storing. Do not wrap the cord around the dryer.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

  • TO CONSUMERS THIS MESSAGE ABOUT GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTERS CAN SAVE A LIFE
  • IF YOU MUST USE YOUR HAIR DRYER IN THE BATHROOM, INSTALL A GFCI* NOW!
  • Your local electrician can help you decide which type is best for you: a portable unit that plugs into the electrical outlet or a permanent unit installed by your electrician.
  • The National Electrical Code now requires a GFCI in the bathroom, garages and outdoor outlets of all new homes.

WHY DO YOU NEED A GFCI?

  • Electricity and water don’t mix.
  • If your hair dryer falls in water while it’s plugged in, the electric shock can kill you… even if the switch is “off.”
  • A regular fuse or circuit breaker won’t protect you under these circumstances. A GFCI offers you far greater protection.
  • A GFCI CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE! COMPARED TO THAT, THE PRICE IS SMALL! DON’T WAIT… INSTALL ONE NOW!
  • GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) is a sensitive device that reacts immediately to a small electric current leak by stopping the electricity flow.
