Dear customer,

Thank you for purchasing the portable speaker G180. To ensure correct operation, please read this user manual carefully before operation.

Important Safety Instructions

  • Do not use the speaker in special cold and hot environments.
  • Please avoid the speaker dropping or hitting with a hard object, it may cause other hardware damage.
  • Take care when charging the speaker, excessive prolonged charging will damage the battery lifetime. Charge the speaker to full capacity when using for the first time.
  • When battery low, the lighting will be flashed in red and voice prompt “Low Battery, Please Charge”, please charge speaker in time.
  • If does not use this speaker for long time, please charge at least once within one month, in order to prevent the lithium battery from causing and damaging because of excessive consumption.
  • Adjust the volume to appropriate level to avoid disturbing others.

Operation Instructions

Power on/off

  1. Long press button to power on/off the speaker. Please note: The default working mode is Bluetooth mode. The default working volume around 50%.

Bluetooth

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth of your phone, search for nearby devices. G180 will be found on your mobile pairing list, please connect it. When connected, the speaker will prompt “You are now connected” and the Bluetooth indicator will stop twinkle and in blue.
  2. Please turn on your phone’s music player, and speaker will play the selected music.
  3. The speaker will pair with the latest used Bluetooth device automatically. Long press the button to disconnect the current Bluetooth connection, and continue to long press and Bluetooth will connect back. When a phone call comes in, short press the button to answer the call, press it again to hang up the call; double press the button and the call will be rejected directly.

USB Flash Disk Music Playing

Inserting the USB Flash Disk into the speaker, short press the button to enter the USB mode , the speaker will prompt “USB Flash Drive Mode”, then the speaker will play  the USB music directly.

Aux in Mode

Use the 3.5mm audio cable to connect the speaker to an audio source (PC, MP3/MP4, mobile phone). Short press the button to switch and the speaker will prompt “AuxMode” mode. The speaker will play the music from the audio source.

Micro SD Card Music Playing

Inserting the Micro SD card into the card slot. Short press the button to switch to the Micro SD card mode, and the speaker will prompt “TF Card Mode”. Then, the speaker will automatically play the music.

TWS(True Wireless Stereo) function (only works in Bluetooth mode)

  1. Power on 2pcs G180 (ensure both speakers are in Bluetooth waiting to pair status).
  2. Short press the button on either one speaker can enter/exit the TWS function.
  3. Once two speakers paired, the speaker TWS light indicator flashing in blue is the master speaker, the other one TWS light indicator in orange is the slave speaker. Use your phone to pair the master speaker G180, and play Bluetooth music on both speakers.

Please Note:

  1. Two speakers should be under waiting for Bluetooth pairing status.
  2. Under TWS mode, if you turn off one of the speaker, then another speaker will be turned off automatically.
  3. The two speakers will be reconnected automatically after first connection once in connection range.

FM Mode

  1. Power on the speaker. Short press the button to enter the FM Radio mode. Long press the button for 3 seconds to automatically search for local channels. Every time a radio channel is found, after playing for 3 seconds, continue to search for the next radio channel. After searching, it will play the last channel.
  2. Long press the button to switch to next channel. Similarly, long press the button to switch the previous channel.

Please Note:

For better FM signal reception, the lighting will be off automatically under FM mode.

Colorful ambient lighting

  1. There are three lighting effect mode: rhythm with music mode; colorful flow light mode; breathing light mode.
  2. Double press the button to switch the light mode and turn off the lighting.

Charging Function

  1. When the battery low, the speaker will prompt “Low Battery, Please Charge” and the light will be flashed in red for 3 seconds, the speaker will automatically power off. Please charge the battery via a USB adaptor immediately.
  2. When the speaker is powered off and charging, the lighting beam will turn red and show the current battery capacity. After full charged, the red light will stop flashing.

Please Note:

Please use the good quality adaptor to charge the speaker. We suggest use the adaptor specification at 5V/2A. When speaker with low battery capacity, please charge the speaker immediately.

Do not charge in a sub-zero environment, charging below zero may cause damage to the battery.

Do not use the speaker while charging, the output power is lower than normal working status.

Troubleshooting

1. What should I do if the speaker can not pair with the Bluetooth device and play music accordingly?

  1. Please check the specification/ the manual of the Bluetooth device (your mobile or computer), and check if the device can support the A2DP stereo audio transmission. If yes, please turn on the A2DP stereo mode.
  2. Ensure the speaker is under the Bluetooth pairing status, if there are many Bluetooth devices nearby, the VM-BS55 will not easy to be found. Please turn off other Bluetooth devices.
