Installation Instructions

For Rear Guards K59512, K59513

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PERFORM THIS INSTALLATION IF YOU ARE NOT CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO COMPLETE ALL OF THE STEPS IN THE PROCEDURE; CONSULT A TRAINED TECHNICIAN. IMPROPER INSTALLATION COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

Note: Does not work with OEM exhaust. Before installing with aftermarket exhaust check for additional mounts required for exhaust that use the rear peg mounting locations. They may interfere with spacing or mounting of the rear guards. Use medium strength thread-locker on all hardware and tighten firmly.

  1. Remove your rear peg mounts noting position of saddle bag mounting tab if used (ST or Sport Glide).

  2. The right-side mounts using provided hardware.

  3. The left side with the circular notch in it uses two spacers. See pictures below.
    a. The long spacer goes on upper position between frame and guard.
    b. The short spacer goes on top of the saddle bag mount behind the guard.
    c. Mounts with provided hardware.

  4. Mount both bar ends with provided hardware.

NOTE: No warranty coverage is provided by Kodlin that is due to improper installation or lack of maintenance. Periodic maintenance and inspection are required. It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that all the fasteners are tightened before operation of the motorcycle. We recommend following the Mfg.’s torque specs.
