INSTALLATION GUIDE: RADIO FREQUENCY CONTROL BOX

Operating principle:

  • Control any LED lights available on the market using radio remote control.
  • Manage your pool lighting from just one control box.
  • For RGB lights, synchronise all LED lights and select a programme as desired for a customised mood.

Description of device: This radio frequency control box is designed for indoor/outdoor use. It controls (turns on / switches off / changes programme) the pool LED spotlights remotely. It is compatible with any LED spotlights on the market with supply voltage of ~12V. A radio remote control allows instructions to be sent remotely to the control box (distancof 0 to 50m).
Regulations and certification: It is a class III radio equipment appliance with a very low safety voltage of ~12V. This radio control module has an IP65 protection rating.
This radio control module also complies with international electrical safety regulations, in particular the international regulation IEC 61059-1: 2002 + A
Principle of control box connection:
This Powerline control box must be supplied by the secondary circuit of a double insulated transformer, in compliance with current regulations for pool LEDs.
(Primary: ~230V / Secondary: ~12V). The lights can be controlled either by the switch on the control box or with the remote control.

Wall installation, cabling and connection of control boxes

Pairing of the radio remote control and the control box:

  • The control box and the radio remote control are already paired and programmed together.
  • If the control box does not respond, follow these steps:
    1. Press and hold the black button (1), the green LED will flash (2), release the button. The LED remains on.
    2. Press and hold the remote control button (3) for 3 seconds, the green LED will flash (2), release the button. Pairing is complete.
    3. You can repeat the procedure for 2 control boxes. One remote can control 2 boxes.

Operation with Hayward LED lights® :

  • All Hayward LED lights (PAR56, flat, mini) can be connected and twinned on a single control box.
  • Synchronisation: to turn on all LEDs connected to the same control box on programme 1 (white), switch off and restart the control box between 6 and 15 seconds later.
  • Change of programme: switch off and restart the control box between 1 and 3 seconds later.
  • Memory: all LEDs will turn on with the programme most recently selected if the control box is switched off for more than 30 seconds.

Warnings:

  • The control box must be installed indoors or sheltered by a roof.
  • Don’t connect the control box directly to a ~230V or ~110V power supply.
  • Stay within the maximum permitted power for each product.
Only use spare parts supplied by Hayward® brands
