HOWTO USE

Close the roti maker and plug it into the wall outlet, you will notice that the red power light and the green ready light will go on, indicating that the roti maker has begun preheating.

  • It will take approximately 3 to 5 minutes to reach baking temperature. The red power light will remain on until you unplug your roti maker. When the green light goes off, the roti maker is ready for use.

  • Open the roti maker and make each piece of about 1 /2″ diameter(please remember to keep kneaded dough out for at least 30 minutes before you start making reties). Slightly flatten it and place it off centre towards the highs on the bottom plate of your Roti Maker.

  • Quickly and firmly press down, closing the upper plate. Hold for less than a second. Open it immediately and centre it. Leave it this way for about 15-20 seconds.

  • Turn the roti and in about 20-25 second you’ll see air bubbles begin to appear on the top surface of the roti.

  • When this happens turn the roti to the side and very gently shut  the Upper plate. The roti will start puffing up on both sides and in afew seconds is ready for serving.

  • Once the roti is cooked, open the Roti Maker and carefully remove it from the Roti Maker with a non-metallic utensils. Never touch the cooking surface with sharp, pointy or metal objects. This could damage the non-stick surface.

STEP-1 : Measure Flour as  per your convenience and add 1-2 tbsp oil to knead the dough.

STEP-2 : Don’t bind the dough tightly, knead it little loose.

STEP-3 : Make sure you make dough balls immediately, the  size of the ball should be smaller than your fist or as per your convenience.

STEM-4: After letting the dough balls  sit for 10-15 mins. you can heat up your roti maker to make lovely soft rotis.

How To Make Dough

NOTE: If you want to make khakhras, place a dough ball about one inch diameter, slightly off centre, towards the rear of the bottom plate. Close the upper plate and gently press down the lever. After a few seconds, when the bottom surface of the roti acquires a reddish colour, turn it around close the upper plate and gently press down the lever. Both sides of the roti will redden equally and take the shape of a khakhra. This method of making khakhras can be modified to suit your personal tastes.

IMORTANTTIPS :
If the roti is found to be of an irregular shape, check whether the dough contains enough water. If not, add some more water and mix well. For best results avoid pressing the lever again & again. Even that can be the cause of a broken roti.
