IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

  1. Read all instructions carefully before you operating this appliances. Pay particular attention to all safety precautions.

  2. This appliance must be used in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions as described in this manual.

  3. Do not touch hot surfaces. Always use handles.

  4. To prevent electrical hazards do not immerse power cord, power plug and rice cooker (heating plate) in water or any other liquids.

  5. Close supervision is necessary when using any appliance near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Keep out of children’s reach at all times.

  6. Unplug appliance from power outlet when not in use and before carrying out cleaning and maintenance. Always allow appliance to cool down completely before assembling or disassembling parts.

  7. Do not operate appliance if power cord has been damaged, or if appliance malfunctions. Return appliance to your nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

  16. This appliance is not intended for use by person (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  17. If the power cord is damaged, it must be inspected and repaired/replaced by the manufacturer or other suitably qualified persons.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.

  1. Use this appliance only with the recommended AC power supply outlet (230V a.c.).
  2. Be sure to unplug the power cord when the pan is not inside the cooker, or when the cooker is not to be used.
  3. Note: The “KEEP WARM” function will be activated whenever the power cord is plugged in.
  4. DO NOT forcibly press the “COOK” button down if you encounter difficulties in pressing it into position. This difficulty occurs only if pan is not fully inserted or when cooking has just completed.
  5. Always ensure lid is completely closed after serving to prevent rice from dying or discoloring.
  6. Nevel leave the rice spoon or other utensils in the pan when using “KEEP WARM” function.
  7. Do nbot use the “KEEP WARM” function to reheat rice that has been previously cooked.
  8. The inner pot and surface of the heater plate must always be free of foreign matter to prevent malfunctions.

Note: The “ KEEP WARM ” function will be activated whenever the rice cooker is plugged into a power supply outlet.

CARE & CLEANING

After using the rice cooker, unplug the power cord from the power supply outlet and allow it to cool down completely before carrying out cleaning and maintenance works.

  1. Remove inner pot and lid wash them in hot sudsy water, taking care to rinse completely, then dry with a soft cloth.
  2. Clean the cooker’s exterior using a clean damp cloth, Never clean any part of the cooker with abrasive or harsh cleaning agents. Instead, use a damp cloth or sponge with water and mild dish detergent. Do not submerge any part of the cooker in water except the inner pot and lid.
  3. Grains of rice, or other foreign matter may stick to the healing plate. Use a knife or similar instrument to dislodge it from the appliance.
  4. If necessary, steel wool can be used to use to smoother and polish the area between the heating element and bottom of the inner pot to ensure good contact.
  5. Improper cleaning of the appliance may result in unpleasant odors during nest use.
  6. Note: Any vinegar or salt residues may corrode the pan finishing. Always clean the pan after every use.

HOW TO USE

  1. Measure rice with measuring cup (included). One cup of uncooked rice makes approximately 3 cups cooked rice.
    Wash rice in a separate bowl until water is relatively clear.

  2. Placed washed rice into the pan. Add water in the cooking pot according to the following measurements:

  1. Set pan into rice cooker. To place correctly, turn pan gently to the right and left. Close the cover firmly.

  2. Connect power cord to the cooker and plug it into the power supply outlet. Do not plug it in until really to cook. Otherwise, rice may be spoiled.
    Note: The appliance will not operate if the pan is not inside it.

  3. Press switch. The COOKING indicator light indicates that the cooking has begun.

  4. When the rice is done, the switch will pop up and click will sound. At the same time “COOK” light will be extinguished and the “KEEP WARM” light will illuminate, indicating the “KEEP WARM” function has been activated to keep rice warm.

  5. After the switch pops up, leave cover for 6-8 minutes to steam rice.

  6. Unplug from power supply outlet after use.

COOKING TIPS

WASHING RICE

Bran gives an unpleasant odor to cooked rice. To remove bran, rice should be washed thoroughly in lukewarm water. However, washing rice may result in the loss of vitamins and minerals.

“KEEP WARM” FUNCTION

Using this function for more than l 2 hours may cause discoloration or odor. The sooner rice is served, the better it will taste. “ KEEP WARM ” function should be used during meals.
