SAFETAG Volt Tracking
How do I work?

Whilst the tracker is in motion, it will report it’s location and speed every 30 seconds. When the tracker is not in motion, it will enter smart mode to reduce power usage and report the location at a longer interval (standby mode).

The signal strength and battery level of your tracker is reported on the app and website and is refreshed every 3 minutes.

This light will illuminate red if the tracker has an active connection to the battery .

This light will illuminate blue if the tracker has an active GSM connection.

This light will illuminate blue if the tracker has an active GPS lock.
The lights may only illuminate for 3 minutes after power-up.
Safe Tag Volt
- After the tracker has been activated on our website, it will take up-to 30 minutes to come online. After it has come online, take the vehicle for a 5 minute drive to calibrate. Please see the activation guide for more details.
- It is critical that you install your Safe Tag Volt with the logo facing upwards, as the connection antenna is faced towards this direction.
You must not open the tracker casing under any circumstances .

Installation

The tracker can also be installed by following these steps:
- Loosen the nut on the positive terminal of the battery and slide the U-Clip with the red wire underneath.
- Once it is seated underneath tighten the nut.
- Loosen the nut on the negative terminal of the battery and slide the U-Clip with the black wire underneath.
- Once it is seated underneath tighten the nut.
- Use the underside adhesive to stick the Volt to the battery or other area of your car.
- Use the provided cable ties to clear-up loose cables.
Troubleshooting
- If your tracker is failing to connect please doublecheck that the metallic U-Clips have contact with the battery terminals.
- If your tracker is losing signal/missing trips please ensure that the tracker is placed upright with the Safe Tag logo facing upwards.
