202-493-006 ¼” Ruler Foot For 9 Mm/7 Mm High Shank Models
This foot has a 1/2 inch outer diameter so that the needle drops 1/4 inch from the ruler edge. Caution:
- Turn the power switch off when attaching and detaching the foot or the attachments.
- Turn the hand wheel to lower the needle when the presser foot is raised and the foot is set to a high position.
- Use with the center needle position and the feed dogs down.
- Make sure the setscrews are tightened firmly before sewing.
- This foot cannot be used with sewing machines on which the presser bar automatically moves up and down when free-motion quilting.
Attaching the 1/4 inch ruler foot
Remove the foot holder and attach the 1/4 inch ruler foot.
Make sure that the needle enters the center of the hole in the foot. Place the
ruler/template on the quilt layers.
Stitch while guiding the fabric and ruler /template together along the side
of the foot. Note
- Use with 4.5 mm thickness quilting rulers/ templates* compatible with elna sewing machines.
- Move the machine 3 mm (1/8 inch) or less per stitch.
- Using the straight stitch needle plate is recommended for better results.
- Follow the instructions of your rulers/templates.
Not included in this package.
Adjusting the height of the foot
Lower the presser bar.
Adjust the height of the foot by turning the round nut (A) until the bottom of
the foot barely touches the top of the quilt layers.
