elna 264 Taping Attachment For Overlock Machines
The Taping Attachment for Overlock Machines is a set of accessories designed to attach and guide tapes during sewing. It includes the following components:
- Setscrew
- Tape reel
- Taping foot
Additional parts and features of the attachment include the taping guiding hole, knob, sewing line guide, taping slit, reel arm, tape guiding hole, and tape guide.
Product Usage Instructions
Before using the taping attachment, ensure your safety by turning off the power switch of the machine.
Machine Setting:
Set the machine for ordinary 2-needle 4-thread seaming, referring to the machine instruction book. Adjust the thread tensions as follows:
- Left Needle: 3
- Right Needle: 3
- Upper looper: 3
- Lower looper: 3

TAPING ATTACHMENT FOR OVERLOCK MACHINES

This set includes:
- Setscrew
- Tape reel
- Taping foot
For your safety, turn off the power switch before changing any attachments.
Machine setting:
Set the machine for ordinary 2-needle 4-thread seging. (Refer to the machine
instruction book).
Thread Tensions
- Stitch length: 3 – 4
- Differential feed dial: 1.0
- Presser foot: Taping foot
- Upper Knife: Activated
- Needle plate setting knob: S
To attach the taping attachment:
This attachment can be used for tape widths of 4 – 8 mm.
- Remove the face plate setscrew.
- Secure the tape reel on the face plate with the setscrew included in the package.
- Insert tape into the tape holding hole from inside of the reel. Wind the tape (turn the knob while holding the end of the tape).
- Replace the foot with the taping foot and raise it.
- Deactivate the upper knife.
- Insert the tape into the guiding hole in the reel arm. Then insert the tape into the taping slit on the foot from the right side, and pull the tape behind the foot.
- Activate the upper knife.
- Place the fabric under the foot, and lower the foot.
- Remove any slack in the tape by turning the knob of the reel lightly.
- Start sewing slowly.
To deactivate and activate the upper knife, see the instruction book.
NOTE:
To ensure even feeding, slacken the tape and guide lightly with your fi nger.
